A New Year means it’s time for new episodes of the hit comedy-drama Psych on USA Network. The fun starts on January 9 with a brand new episode written and directed by series creator Steve Franks.
Gus (Dulẻ Hill) convinces his fake psychic detective partner Shawn (James Roday) to go with him to a funeral. But it’s not just any funeral. It’s a memorial service for Shabby the Sea Lion, one of the beloved creatures from the local aquarium. An attempt to release Shabby back into the wild went haywire and Shabby ended up dying at sea. But as Shawn inspects the open casket he sees something that makes him believe that Shabby was murdered. He then sets out to unravel the mystery but gets caught up in an even bigger conspiracy.
Series regulars Corbin Bernsen, Timothy Omundson, Maggie Lawson, and Kirsten Nelson also return for more of the fun. But it is the chemistry between Roday and Hill that makes the show a success. Their banter has the viewer laughing hysterically at many points throughout the show. In fact, in watching each episode repeatedly there are always new things to pick up on and laugh at.
Few other shows could manage to strike the balance between humor and drama that Psych does. As the show enters the second half of season three it has clearly hit its stride and promises to continue to be lots of fun for a long time to come.
The show's homepage has gone through an extensive update with lots of new features added. Viewers can play along with "Shawn’s Nickname Generator" and even check out the cast’s yearbook photos in "Psych Yearbook Superlatives." As always, Psych fans can watch new "Psych-Outs" (the hilarious outtakes from each show), view full episodes, read writer commentary on each episode and play fun games featuring their favorite fake psychic detective.
Psych airs on USA network on Fridays at 10pm Eastern/9pm Central time.Powered by Sidelines
