"Zarqawi personally beheaded American hostages and other civilians in Iraq," he said. "Now Zarqawi has met his end and this violent man will never murder again."
"We have tough days ahead of us in Iraq that will require the continuing patience of the American people," he cautioned.
British Prime Minister Tony Blair called the successful operation a major blow to the al-Qaeda network:
"Today's announcement was very good news because a blow against al-Qaeda in Iraq was a blow against al-Qaeda everywhere," Blair told Cabinet members. The prime minister also praised U.S. and coalition troops for their work in Iraq and its new democratically elected government.
The final chapter of Zarqawi's earthly life was deservedly painful. However, his real judgment is still before him. As the good Lord said:
You look forward to the day when the LORD comes to judge.
But you are in for trouble!
It won't be a time of sunshine; all will be darkness.
You will run from a lion, only to meet a bear.
You will escape to your house, rest your hand on the wall, and be bitten by a snake.
The day when the LORD judges will be dark, very dark, without a ray of light. (Amos 5:18-20)

I like the name of this post. Hopefully someday before Nov 2006 there will be a post called "Hillary has been eliminated."

Dear Archie. There remains some difference between an American Senator whose primary hatred by the fanatic right and fundamentalist Americans stems from her support of health care for more Americans, protecting children and putting up with a husband with bad taste, versus a murderous, Moslem terrorist.
Your comment and the philosophy of Zarqawi are far more simililar than Senator Clinton's and the face of mid-Eastern evil.

Calling for the "eliminations" of a US enator, as Archhas done, goes beyond the pale. Authorities should be alerted.

Sometimes, when the anger explodes, I make typos. That notwithstanding, Arch's omment calling for the "elimination" of Hilary Clinton is unconsciable, and may be even construed as a terrorist threat.

Could he possibly have meant eliminated from the contenders for the 2008 presidential election...not to give Arch too much slack, of course.

The threat was implicit. I'm only going by the rules his blather laid down. An implicit threat is enough.

I'm all for anything that keeps Hillary out of the oval office.

May Al-Zarqawi roast in hell for all eternity.
Now, let's get Al-Zawahiri and OBL.
My thanks to our men and women in uniform for a job well done!

"May Al-Zarqawi roast in hell for all eternity."
Well said, Clavos.
Let me add that I am not for eliminating anyone, even Hillary. Unless, of course, Archie was speaking in the political sense of the word. In that case I'm all for it.

I don't really view Hillary as a human being.... just a threat to my nation.

Conservatives are very funny in what they perceive as threats.
Osama in Afghanistan? Iraq is the threat!
Over 50% of marriages end in divorce and in some places the majority of children born are out of wedlock. Gays are the threat!
A book of fables does not correlate with actual history. Science is the threat!
All our GOOD-PAYING jobs are being outsourced overseas. Mexican illegal immigrants are the threat!
Zarqawi has been killed and AC here can think of nothing else except having as a leader, someone who isn't running and who has no chance of winning, (unless she runs against Jeb).
I'm so glad I'm not a conservative. As a liberal, I have a hard enough time fending off real demons, nevermind the imaginary ones. :-)

Gee Steve.....it's not like Clinton signed NAFTA or anything and jobs were not going overseas when he was in office right? And of course the borders were tight as a drum when he was in office.

You miss the point Arch. What does Clinton have to do with Zarqawi?

Aaman...that was a misprint in the book..it's Virginians...not virgins...and those Virginians are really really pissed!

The point is that this world would be better off without either one of them Steve.
