Winning Through Extinction

Part of: There, I Said It!

If Conservatives, Red-staters and those who believe in the holy directive to "multiply and replenish the Earth," are patient, they will never again have to campaign against the Left, because Liberals are sprinting down the road to self-extinction.

Non-procreation has been a fashion trend among Liberals for a lot of years now, especially European Liberals. Just this week, the face of climate hypocrisy, Al Gore, called on women to save the planet by "stabilizing the population." That is a euphemism the Chinese one-child bureaucrats would have loved. But of course it is just another float in the parade of anti-human ideas that ooze from the pens and mouths of the environmentalist Left.

First we had to cease using DDT because it made the eggshells of certain seabirds fragile. The result has been the needless deaths of millions of people each year, primarily in equatorial Africa, from mosquito-borne malaria. Then came abortion on demand. The human cost is staggering; upwards of 55 million dead humans in the United States alone since 1973. The "women's liberation" movement derided the nuclear family and the children it produces and protects. Birthrates fell as women bought into that lie. Next in the parade came gay marriage. What could be more anti-procreation than fashioning a model for sex and marriage that is irrevocably sterile? The ideologies of the Left are fundamentally anti-human; National socialism, Facism, Marxism, Communism. If you haven't noticed yet, all governments based on those ideologies kill lots and lots of people (Liberals included). And now we have arrived at the juncture where having babies is not an eco-friendly thing to do. Children and the human race be damned! 'We don't want to inconvenience the planet with the dreadful dumplings' dastardly landfill-clogging diapers,' goes the reasoning of the enviro-Left.

The modern Left is on the path to extinction. But this is not the natural selection of weak species dying out while the adaptable and vigorous species thrive and evolve. This is human-selected extiguishment of a species (although the Left is not, technically, a separate species). Oddly enough, they are selecting themselves to eternal banishment from the planet. A self-destructive movement using the scalpel of fecundity to kill itself in a single generation. This is fascinating from a theoretical standpoint. There are, of course, a lot of variables which go into reproduction and population dynamics. But generally speaking, the Left is trending itself out of existence.

This is so funny! Liberals are dying out, yet you don't seem to have noticed that minority births are for the first time more numerous than white ones. If you are so staunch about upping the birth rate for conservatives, I'm guessing you have better things to do than write factless things like this.

Are you saying that all minorities are, and always will be, Liberal? That's a little presumptuous. Fact is that more and more Hispanics and Black Americans are identifying themselves as Conservative. The following Gallup survey includes all Americans.

That's the way things work in lefty moonbat land Marjorie.

If you are a minority or a woman you are not allowed to be anything but a die hard leftist.

    Arch -

Most minorities and most women CHOOSE to be liberal because they know that conservatives don't look out for the best interests of minorities and liberals.

For instance, look at Ron Paul who fantasizes that the Civil Rights Act wasn't about civil rights, but about property. And who was it that worked hardest towards blocking the Equal Rights Amendment? Conservatives, of course.

The world is FAR more liberal now than it was even thirty years ago...and the trend will continue. There will be ups and downs, setbacks and tragedies along the way, but (barring a worldwide catastrophe) liberal political philosophy will prevail in the end - all one needs for proof is to see that all first-world democracies have single-payer health care of one type or another...except for America, and we'll get there eventually. One more wonderful bit of fact - the years since the end of the Rwandan genocide have been the most peaceful generation in human history...even given all the wars America's been in! If you don't think that's true, then I defy you to find even ONE twenty-year period in human history that was as peaceful (relatively speaking, of course) as it is now.

You'll always convince yourself of what you and Marjorie are supporting if you take the short view, but if history is any guide (as it almost always is), we've got a very liberal future to look forward to. I know I'm looking forward to it!

Oooooh! What a stirring paean to triumphalism! I haven't felt this way since the last Leni Reifenstahl movie. Wow!

You are an Leni Reifenstahl fan I take it?

marjorie, what's your reason for thinking that liberal parents necessarily make liberal kids? or conservative parents make conservative kids? i know of many cases where that is not the case.

"Liberals answer first to political ideology then self (God is stuck some place where they can pull Him out if it is convenient), so "multiply and replenish" to them are a blasphemy against their overburdened Mother Earth."

what a load of bullshit. your understanding of the liberal mind is based on you, not on liberals. that up there is completely ridiculous.

"In just a few years Conservative candidates won't have to do any fundraisers, stump speeches, or social media campaigns. There won't be any Liberals left to run against."

you are just full of wishful thinking, aren't you? tell me, which direction do you think history is marching in? less and less people are attending church. the 6th state in our nation (7 if you include dc) just legalized gay marriage. could you imagine that even a generation ago?

you're going to be very disappointed.

Maybe Marjorie wants to be Ann Coulter when she grows up. Actually, she's not a bad writer, but the premise of the article is farcically ridiculous. Why do so many essays of this kind depend on counterfactual nastiness?

  • 13 - Marjorie Haun

    Jun 26, 2011 at 3:26 pm

The premise is part parody, part demographic trend. I hope you have a sense of humor about social trends and politics. The trends are fact, the premise of absolute extinction is parody, just sayin'.

fair enough, clavos. that's one of those rules of english i get wrong as often as not. maybe this time it'll stick. but grammar has a way of going out the door when indignation gets in.

The basic premise of the article is valid but there is one thing that is not accounted for (unless I missed it). Liberals will indeed become extinct by their own choice if they did not take other steps to insure their survival. They have done so by instituting an indoctrination program through the government controlled schools in which they perpetuate their existence.

Actually, right now it's the Queen's English.

Not for me, it's not. The language predates her and came into being when kings ruled.

Besides, Glenn, she's not even English, she's German on her patrilineal side, which is what counts for royalty.

"They have done so by instituting an indoctrination program through the government controlled schools in which they perpetuate their existence."

oh, the insidiousness of education. yes, secretly, we liberals decided to take over the schools. we did this very slowly, so as not to raise suspicions. through decades, nay, centuries! of work, we educated ourselves (as educated folk only respect educated folk) and, through a clever and most evil network, created liberal mathematics and sciences that only liberals could teach. literature and other arts, being already tilted our way, did not need much of a nudge, but all that goes against our predetermined values is stricken, which is why you've never read anything by a conservative. we stopped teaching history from the bible, as it isn't a great source, and then we got rid of religious study, which, as you know, no longer exists. and we created an atmosphere at the university level wherein it is impossible to make up your own mind. our students march in lockstep, never having one moment to get up to any shenanigans. that is why our universities are known for their discipline. creativity and thoughts foreign to our indoctrination programs are stamped out immediately! and our students wear the uniform of the liberal elite, and never show up to class in shorts, even in summer, even in the south, where there are few universities. even our football teams are not allowed to thank god for their talents or victories. they praise their liberal fathers, and we declare it good and right that they do (under penalty of spanking, of course). out of our education camps come good liberal soldiers, and out of their loins come good liberal soldiers, and in the afterbirth of the fruit of said loins, we wallow and wait for what shall be, drinking in the new blood of our promised future liberal paradise.

and of course, those that neglect to go to college (and therefore skip our indoctrination) never end up liberals. that's the only way they could end up so. it's a system, and we've got you cornered with america's 30% college graduation rate.

"The language predates her and came into being when kings ruled."

but the beginnings of english were very much dominated by the german language (of the time at least). and then it was french that began to change english. and it certainly wasn't the king that created modern english, it was london publishers. before the invention of the printing press, and the concentration of english publishers in london, many english dialects were mutually unintelligible. same might be said now, of course.

but the beginnings of english were very much dominated by the german language (of the time at least).

No more so than by Roman Latin.

it certainly wasn't the king that created modern english, it was london publishers.

    ...the king who...:-)

It wasn't the publishers, it was the writers and poets; first, Bede, Caedmon,et alia. Later, the Middle English poets, the best known (in modern times) of whom is Chaucer. But, in any case they all had a king, not a queen, over them.

  • 23 - Clavos

Hence the origin of the expression, "the King's English."

    Which was my original point.

    @#20 (albeit belatedly):

You can be quite the penman yourself, zing, that was a decent parody.

  • 25 - zingzing

    Jun 26, 2011 at 9:25 pm

yes, "the king who." fine again. i'm about to walk down to miami and start slitting throats. but i won't. it's too far. besides, i don't consider kings to be people, just far off objects that justify derision.

but i'll say it was the publishers. what they were publishing certainly had a role to play, but the fact that the written language was being published in a particular place with a particular set of rules (and letters) had vast influence. middle english (and chaucer) would have been unaffected by this (and although he is understandable, i doubt you could speak his language in today's society if you wished to be understood). modern english (or early modern english, as it is known,) was a product of standardization not through any concerted effort, but through the practicalities of the time. and yes, they may have had a king over them, but if a king supervised technology and language, i'd be surprised. that it was a he or a she or anything at all is a technicality. machines and type setters had as much to do with it as anything.

as for #20, if conservatives want a more balanced academia, that's on them. most academics are more interested in furthering their field rather than a political agenda, and if you're a conservative and you want to get into education and you've got something to offer, fucking offer it. don't be such defeatists. your myth will only self-perpetuate if you don't cut it the fuck out.

look at the media. fox news disproves the myth. sarah palin talks about the "lame stream media" (thank god she's not teaching english, because that play on words is just awful), but look where she is... on the highest rating news media channel in america. she is the main stream. she sits right in it and can't feel the current.

it's the same thing in education, except there's little money in it. which, of course, may be why there's such small conservative interest. or maybe it's because when people are paid to think, they rarely end up conservative. maybe.
