I was reading 'Bush and Al-Qaeda: A Symbiotic Relationship' and 'Win-Win Spin-Spin'. These articles are both great at explaining the ‘joined-at-the-hip’ relationship between Al Qaeda and George Bush. But, in the true spirit of blogging I'm going to regurgitate in my own words why I thing George Bush is the favorite son candidate of Al Qaeda in the coming election.
------
Reason number one: Can anybody think of any other candidate who would start a war in the Middle East on false pretenses and turn a world sympathetic to the US after 9-11 into a world where almost everyone hates US Foreign Policy? And change sympathy even in many Moslem countries into widespread hatred of the US and fear of what the administration may do next in its 'crusade' (and I mean that word in the religious battle context that seems to be the administrations world view).
Al Qaeda would suffer a real drop in recruitment if Bush leaves office, so that's reason number ONE why Al Qaeda recommends you vote early and often for George Bush.
------------
Reason number two: What has Bush done to deserve Al Qaeda's support for the coming election? How about the deluxe witness protection program that Bush has provided for relatives and fellow countrymen of the 9-11 terrorists?
We're not talking protection from other criminals, but protection from those irritating FBI and CIA interviews that are might be inflicted on the families of master terrorists. If you are living the busy Saudi oil aristocracy lifestyle, you don't have time to waste on answering some boring questions about what your brother, uncle or business partner might be up to?
So George Bush provided extra special flights to remove members of the Bin Laden family and other friends of the Bush/Saudi oil alliance out of the country, well before a serious investigation could be mounted.
So if you've committed a terrorist act, and you need someone to take any potential loose ends and ship them out of the reach of law enforcement, George Bush has got your back...

much as i don't really like Bush jr, i thought the "fact" you refer to in point no.2, the thing about him protecting relatives of bin laden, was discredited a little while ago?

"the thing about him protecting relatives of bin laden, was discredited a little while ago" I think there was debate about whether the planes carrying the Saudi's actually left DURING the time all other flights were grounded or JUST AFTER flights were being allowed again. But the flights DID take place...and they took place long before any thorough investigation could possibly have taken place..

Not so, according to the 9/11 commission.
