US dropped napalm in Iraq

If you disbelieved me at the time I was stating some time ago that US commanders had admitted that the US had dropped firebombs similar to napalm in Iraq, then you should read this article, from the Guardian. The US couldn't even tell its so called "closest ally" the truth on the weapon's usage:

US Marines dropped 30 Mark 77 fire bombs between March 31 and April 2 2003 "against military targets away from civilian areas". In a letter to Michael Ancram, shadow defence secretary, Mr Reid also says: "The MK77 does not have the same composition as napalm, although it has similar destructive characteristics."

He adds the Pentagon had also told the government that "owing to the limited accuracy of the MK77, it is not generally used in urban terrain or in areas where civilians are congregated". Mr Reid points out Britain is bound by convention not to use incendiary weapons against military targets located within concentrations of civilians.

He continues: "US policy in relation to international conventions is a matter for the US government, but all of our allies are aware of their obligations under international humanitarian law."

In other words, as usual, the US does whatever the hell it wants to do, while the rest of the so called "civilised" world at least does attempt to abide by some international laws concerning warfare.

Your point here being what? The Guardian
has been known and documented to overly
dramatize it's viewpoints. It has been
brought to task for it in the past and
made to retract other outright lies it
has made,it holds ZERO credibility as a
    news source.

No, B.L. Zebubb is my real name, honest.
I abbreviate it differently than what is
on my birth certificate is all. Sheesh!

And "The Guardian" HAS been taken to
task for and made to retract stories in
which the information recieved was less
than "Truthful" shall we say. Check it
    out,champ. They like the sensationalism
and anything that draws attention to
their "Cause Celebre" just like any of
the other self serving newspapers on the
planet, be they Right or Left leaning.
Not to say it can't be entertaining at
times but so is the NY Post for that
    matter.

Of course, B.L. Zebubb ain't my fuggin'
real name man. But that should have no
bearing on the validity of my statement
you know what I mean? We are ALL of us
anonymous posters here as Dee says.
