Then Congress moves onto the issue of the NSA spying policy and the privacy invasions of countless Americans. As one who corresponds with an email friend in Pakistan I find this policy most troubling, while taking my Constitutional rights most seriously. And I am utterly convinced that my fellow citizens feel the same way.
All along the way Democrats have ample opportunities to address which party is better suited to demonstrate leadership for American values that we all hold dearly. While the GOP will denounce the actions of the Democratic Party as unpatriotic and weak, the public will weigh the truth of the matter during their private moments. The mid-term elections could have a powerful national issue with privacy, and the Democrats can show leadership that our country is now searching for, if they can seize the moment and concentrate on winning for the right reasons.
