For all those who insist that Latinos aren't assimilating:
Pew Research has just released the results of a multi year, nationwide study of Latinos that indicates that, by the second generation in the US, Latinos' dominant language is English; and by the third generation, Spanish has almost completely disappeared.
This exactly replicates the experience of other non-English speaking immigrant groups, and should lay to rest once and for all the false myth (and purely anecdotal, unscientific evidence) of Latino non-assimilation.

The immigration debate is primarily about Mexicans.
Also, the issue is not just that they don't learn how to speak English EVER. It is that they are arriving at unprecedented rates and it doesn't look like the influx will diminish. With every new set of arrivals is money being spent to accommodate the language issue.
ALSO
Language, while it is a major inconvenience, is not the real threat it is the education issue. Being an English high school drop out does not make you any better.

Considering the low quality of spelling and proofreading among American menu writers generally, I wouldn't be surprised if Zedd has seen it spelled fillet on many occasions.
And to be fair, that is what it means!
My personal favorite was not a spelling error but a beverage list which identified Newcastle Brown Ale as a Scottish beer. The restaurant in question quietly changed it after I pointed this out.

For non-conservatives to be involved in the Republican Party is fine... But this blogger seems to be so off-base - She uses tired left-wing smear tactics... and to an extent that even many liberals don't use!!
Any "conservative" blogger who continually references the SPLC (a very liberal organization whose tactics, and ultra-low threshold for "hate" labeling, has discredited them not only among all conservatives, but many moderates and others as well) - has a serious credibility problem. But even the SPLC's followers and supporters had problems with their attack on Marcus Epstein - that piece on their site was universally criticized.
Calling Marcus a "white supremacist" is laughable... He himself is non-white... like myself. I know Marcus, and he has not a racist bone in his body.
