The Racial Extortion of America

I don’t have much use for Don Imus. In fact, he looks like a zombie, talks like goat, and his attempts at humor fail more then they succeed. But the backlash he’s received from referring to the Rutgers University women's basketball team as "nappy-headed hoes" is not only hypocritical, it’s dangerous as well to the future of broadcasting and freedom of speech in general. Do I find his comments particularly funny? No way! But are his comments any more degrading on what you hear on half of the rap songs that are disguised as “music” these days? Are his comments half as degrading as, lets say, Howard Stern’s comments about African Americans. This isn’t to put Howard Stern down because he belongs in the category of “shock jock.” Howard insults African Americans, Jews, Retards (as Howard proudly refers to them as), and just about everything else. While Howard has caused outrage, he has never been the target of a witch hunt like this. Howard is a brilliant, entertaining shock jock. Don Imus isn’t. But Don Imus is a personality in the same exact category as Howard Stern, so if Don should go, so should Howard.

But the real people that need to go are the racial extortionists in this country, such as Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, who exploit the issue of race solely to line their own pockets. Am I the only one who remembers when adulterer Jesse Jackson referred to New York City as Hymietown? Am I the only one who remembers the Tawana Brawley episode where Al Sharpton helped ruin the lives of six white men based on a false rape claim? The extremist liberal media, who has given people like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson power, sure doesn’t. To the media, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are the modern day versions of Jesus Christ. Whenever one of them screams racism, the media runs to their throne and makes sure to defame anybody that’s accused of racism, even if the claims are false.

    Dumb!

You don't understand the Black community or the issues of Black Americans.

Why don't you take the time that you normally would to learn about something that you know nothing about before writing an article. You are just off.

Actually, pretty intelligent in my opinion. The issues of the Black community are that, unlike others minorities such as myself (I'm Asian), they are dependent on welfare, handouts, etc. They have failed completely as a race and because of their failures, want to bring everybody else down with them. It's the truth and the truth hurts.

Dumb indeed, Zedd. You don't get the fact that this is not about the issues of black Americans. This is about the manipulation of people to create race hatred to advance the political careers of a small group of opportunistic leaders.

    Race hatred???

Are you saying that Whites will hate Blacks because of Imus getting fired?

No, he's saying that if blacks would quit crying racisim for every one of their failures they would be farther down the road to improving their lot in life. Al and Jesse are race baiters and owe their entire existence on your perceived misfortunes. Until black America rejects these clowns and all the other "role models" like rap stars and the gangstas in the NBA they will continue their failure to reach true equality. If you want to be my equal you better stop blaming me your shortcomings and get on with fixing them yourself.

I never claimed to understand the problems of the African American community, though being a former school teacher, I think the school boards are completely racist. I do understand what extortion is and what Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton do is pure extortion. It's a shame that there are not better leaders of the African American community.

Are you saying that Whites will hate Blacks because of Imus getting fired?

No, I'm saying that 'community leaders' in the black community will use Imus' comments to stir up hatred against whites and use fear to keep black citizens onboard for their agenda of corruption and deception.

Dave has it exactly right. The Sharpton's and Jackson's feed off of perceived racial slights or insults in order to keep riding the hobby horse of racism. Its rather pathetic, but their "positions" in the black community demand that they continue to use political correctness and liberal guilt to ferret out offenders.

The I-man's show was mildly entertaining for early morning TV, and as I prefer MSNBC to CNN or FOX I often watched parts of his show during my early morning routine. While I wasn't watching on the day of his comments, I can see how the normal macho bantering of I-man and his crew got into that track - a cheap laugh or two about the appearance and demeanor of the Rutger's basketball team. Call out the thought police the white-man is oppressing us! He didn't slam the Tennesee team and they are nearly all black, they just don't look like they came right off the mean streets to play basketball.

Its also clear that NBC paid a great deal of deference to Al Roker and other "journalists" in their news department. How a guy that does the weather on the Today show gets to have a vote is unclear to me - I guess he's more famous than the I-man.

I'm saying that 'community leaders' in the black community will use Imus' comments to stir up hatred against whites and use fear to keep black citizens onboard for their agenda of corruption and deception.

That comment is insulting. You think that adult Black people have to be told by community leaders who to hate and when to hate them?

Do you get told who to hate and you do it?

What is wrong with you? That is just ridiculous. You really think that Blacks are just a bunch of robots walking around waiting to be told what to think by Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson? Again you are waaaaaaaaaaaay off.

    Imus incited the situation.

Also what deception are you talking about? I haven't listened to Sharpton or any community leader. I heard Imus' comments and was first offended and then decided that he needs to be dropped. Which he was :o)

I don't know what you are talking about regarding the community leaders spreading deception. Its as if you are saying that Black people cant assess situations on their own. They are told what to think and get all confused based on who is telling them what to think.

That line of thinking shows that you have a problem Nalle and you need to fix it. You are confused about what a Black person is. You certainly don't see them to be like you. You've got to fix that.

You need to look up the word "racism." You fit the exact description. Which is surprising because you seem to be a somewhat intelligent person at times.

    FEAR.

Divide, conquer and divert attention away from the real shit going on. White. Black. Doesn't matter. Humans are idiots and fall for it everytime. And here we go again.

You think that adult Black people have to be told by community leaders who to hate and when to hate them?

It's not a racial question. 90 percent of adults in this country have to be told by community leaders, and the media, who to hate and when to hate them. And who to like and when to like them. People, you see, are generally stupid, gullible, easily led, and easily drawn into the Mob Mentality. What makes adult Black people immune from the sheep-like aspects of the human race?

I am in a mixed marriage so I truly see all sides of Racism. I have little niggers and white trash calling my child chinese at school. Where do these children get this hate from? They are not born with it so I have to assume you the parent, instill this hate in your children. On the other hand, I am a bald, blue-eyed white man and people who don't know me assume they can throw race jokes around until they see a picture of my kids, then they kind of back off and get emberrassed. I enjoy telling them that my wife and kids aren't white and watch their ignorance make them uncomfortable. Bottom line is Imus is an idiot and I never heard of him until this incident, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are riding MLK's shirt tail and exploit their own people for personal gain. If you don't find that funny then you are probabley a racist yourself. Again, on other hand, they all raise money for worthy causes and are sort of do gooders in that aspect. So which is the lesser of the two, racists(all three) or saviors to their community. I say if you're dumb enough to listen to them and send them money it's your right. You know they take their cut off the top either way. By the way, my kids aren't even Chinese so teach your kids to be at least an educated racist.

  • 15 - What's the difference?

    Apr 14, 2007 at 12:08 pm

First of all, I don't agree with the statement Imus made. But, what is the difference between a white person making that comment than a black person? I watched a spot on MTV on 4/13/07. The skit was call "So, you have to work with a white person". Then, it proceeded to present, dorky, white people and portray them as idiots. Basically, the skit was to educate blacks on how to understand whites. They commented, whites are always happy. Then, an actor comes up and tells the dorky white man that his entire family has just been killed in a horrible death. The man then says something like oh well, that is ok, can't win them all, or something like that. What does that mean? White people don't care if their families die a horrible death?
The point is this, how come black comedians and other media can slam white folks from everything to the way they dance, look, talk, body parts size and any other comment, to make a joke and expect everyone to laugh. But, if a white person makes a joke or makes the slightest attempt to fit into the black culture, it is a racial issue.
So, everyone needs to quit making fun of others cultures, which will never happen. So, don't take it so hard. Whatever happened to the days of Bill Cozby? He was funny. But, he didn't drag race into it.

Check this…. Based on the color of my skin I’m guilty of slavery. My family, not the people I look like, but my family had nine members fought in the civil war only five came back. Still the Rev Sharpton ( What church does he hold sermons at?) and Jackson say I may not be guilty of slavery but I should feel bad.
Here’s the kicker….. I nor any white person ever got a f***ing THANK YOU for the sacrifices made by us. You know it was the bloodiest war ever fought on American soil, it was white on white, but the white man did nothing for blacks…… Isn’t that funny?

Any time a person of color tells you that you need to feel bad about slavery you let them know they are direct descendants of Treasonist turn coats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
During the revolutionary war the British went down south and said if any slave fought for one year they would be granted freedom…. Blacks turned out in droves. Thousands of slaves went and fought AGAINST the Americans. THAT’S TREASON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know, I know they were fighting for their freedom so that excuses the crime. Wrong… in every country through out time up till today no one excuses Treason…… There is not excuse

Some people will say well America wasn’t a country at the time…. We didn’t become a country until 1782. Well that great but every American accepts 1776 as our birth of a nation. So any crimes against America starting form July 4,1776 is a crime against America …… Including Treason.

Whites who fought against slavery, those who made it a crime to have slaves should fell bad about something that was COMPLETELY LEGAL until whites changed that, but blacks are not guilty of Treason, an act that is still punishable by death. Why? Blacks may feel bad? Oh no… the ONLY people who say all the time whites should feel bad……. We can’t have those people feel bad about THEIR indiscretions. That would be wrong….. Matter of fact many may call me a racist for pointing out the truth.

REMEMBER whites this is for when you are told to feel bad about slavery. It is not an argument to make blacks feel bad.

We ALL need to stop letting the media divide us along color lines. We need solidarity so we can fight the ones separating us.

A few moons ago the powers that be gave control of two piers along the west side of Manhattan…. Every New Yorker stood up together regardless of race, creed, or color and said WE WILL NOT HAVE THIS. The next day that came to a screeching halt. Proving to me that the power of the American people was still strong.
That is my dream… The power of the American people.

When we all stand up and tell Them (powers that be) WE will not have this anymore. I know as you and They know it will truly be a new day.

    Here’s your war cry -----------
THIS IS A NEW DAY AND WE WILL NOT BE DEVIDED ANY MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Tyler,

To be guilty of treason you have to be a citizen of the country you turn against, otherwise it's not treason.

Those black folks during the revolutionary war who accepted the British offer were slaves, not citizens.

    They were not treasonous.

It's good to see a growing number of white people are getting sick and tired of the racist double standards racist groups like the NAACP and La Raza employ time and again without recrimination, and for conservative blacks to speak out against such reverse discrimination too. Is it too little, too late?
