To counter that I can just point to the thousands of terrorists killed and captured since the Iraq war began.
Over the internet, I can't see where you're pointing.

I point to your U.S.A. We now have to put up with women thinking ..period ...it was so peacful before.

Dave: "...I can just point to the **thousands of terrorists killed and captured since the Iraq war began."
Well, Davey, it's obvious that one can trust YOU over CIA Director Porter J. Goss and Vice Adm. Lowell E. Jacoby, director of the Defense Intelligence Agency.
** must be similar to the math used to come up with the "100,000 Iraqi civilians killed" since US Invasion?
Hey, wait, maybe they're "the same thing"?!

amazing to me that the posts here are mostly men on this subject, and yet you all sound like cackling women..He did this ..he said that ...Look at what has actually happened in my beloved home country!!!! it has changed forever ..and all you care about are a few dead uneducated Iraqi civilians!!! You are all so off base of the reality of what you have accomplished. The Iraqi that have died would have been killed if not more in number by our beloved Sadam. Now we are in real crises by the newly educated...not only of socity ways..(I think I could be wording that wrong) Women, ment to be mindful of us, are now looking at doing thier own thing as they wish...such as your Paris Hilton flith. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOU FREEDOM

Actually, Shark, I've been working on a little project on Iraq casualties using data from iragbodycount.com and other sources, and what I'm finding is that it's likely that a large portion of the 27,000 or so 'civilian' deaths IBC is tracking may actually be terrorist/insurgent casualties which were not identified as such. There's a large disparity between verified civilian deaths and the count of people in civilian clothing who died, and it seems like the difference is mostly dead terrorists.

Neil C. Reinhardt: "As anyone with a semi-working brain and even a modicum of world knowledge KNOWS, our actions in removing Saddam from power and our freeing the Iraqi was FULLY JUSTIFIED."
Amen. Just ... amen.
Matt: "[W]hy did John Kerry, John Edwards, Bill Clinton, Carl Levin, Barbara Boxer, Ted Kennedy, etc., etc., say that Saddam had WMDs and could not be allowed to have them if it was Bush making it up? Saddam said he had WMDs...he threatened to use them up to the end, and he had used them against the Kurds. So, where is there a lie?"
There was none. Period. End of argument. It's only a lie because Kerry, Clinton, Edwards, et al. weren't the ones to remove Maddas ... er, Saddam.

End of argument.
You wish.

Well if a government was to ever garner unanimous disapproval for a lying, this was the instance. As it turns out Bush has taught us that regardless of the corruption and lies carried out in office, there will always be at least 40% support.
This memo does clearly state that justification for a war in Iraq was forged out of nothing. "fixed". But this was obvious to begin with and it is consistent with what everyone coming out of the white house, pentagon and CIA are saying.
The CIA for instance was told to come up with evidence that suggests IRAQ has weapons of mass destruction. Is this what you people consider the proper means of going about justifying wars? The CIA was also told, to disregard all of the evidence that points to the fact that he hasn't got WMD. This fact is corroborated by more people than care to defend the administration.
And besides, people seem to forget that there was no disputing that Iraq had nothing to do with terrorism. So why does it matter, even if he did have WMD? Forget about the Saudi's where most of the terrorists seemed to have been coming from? Where many of them were trained? Forget the fact that all terrorism experts proposed alternative forms of action, none of which had anything to do with IRAQ (because, why the fuck would IRAQ have anything to do with terrorism?)
And why when the UN was given unfettered access to Iraq did America not take the sensible route and let them continue to search? IT would have saved 100's of thousands of lives. Well the answer is simple; they wanted saddam out of power because that was there agenda coming into office (this much is undisputed. The neo-cons put that to paper and made it public). So the US tell the UN to get out for fear of the UN confirming 100% that their is no WMD (which they did eventually).
I mean give me a fuckin break guys... what the fuck is preventing you people from putting two and two together. Really, you should look at what makes you resort to intellectual dishonesty in the face of such incriminating facts. Forget the facts, look at the sheer number of people involved in the cover-up and evidence fabrication who have corroborated this evidence voluntarily! These people are involved first hand and yet you refuse to listen. You apparently know more? Are in a better position to judge?

"Once again, you miss the point, Shark. What they did with the intelligence is irrelevant. It's the objective that matters."
-- This is nearly definition of lieing/corruption.
'For gets the evidence, we have an objecive to meet.'
Dave, I don't know if this a typo or somthing but as it is you seem to proving our case for us.

"...look at what makes you resort to intellectual dishonesty in the face of such incriminating facts..."
A good, cursory summary of the entire Bush years.

"To counter that I can just point to the thousands of terrorists killed and captured since the Iraq war began."
-- what you seem to be calling terrorists Dave, are Iraqi’s who are fighting Americans in IRAQ. They weren't terrorists before the war, but after having there family and friends blown to smithereens they've taken up fighting American invaders. Really, I hate the idea of an American's being killed by anyone, but on the other hand I can't say the Iraqi who takes up arms against him is totally misguided (nor would I rather see an American die before and Iraqi). I think if my family had been killed by American soldiers I'd be out their trying to kill as many Americans as I could get my hands on, before putting a gun to my own head.
So Dave, my point is, what’s happening here is America is invading a country and then calling anyone who fights them terrorists. Well, that’s what happens when you invade a country. It's occupants usually take up arms against you.
And sharks quotes from the CIA seem painfully obvious, as pertains to the war creating a cause for Terrorism. Why do you dispute it? You have different logic with regards to this issue?
On the topic "Just a Man",
Where the fuck does a guy like this come from? How sick is this guy?

Not sure what he crawled out from under, but he seems to have written a blog, so he must be one of the writers here? Maybe on a day when said writer has forgotten to take his antipsychotic meds?

Eric or one of the other blog admin guys should ban his IP.
I mean I've spouted some stupid shit on here but I did it with a bit of sarcasm. I certainly never made misogynistic hateful remarks. This guy goes to far and his comments should be removed.
When he's spreading hate, he's doing real damage and we have no responsiblity to protect his right to speak.

Getting back to business, Sydney, Bush merely proves an old American misquote, that you can always fool some of the people all of the time. For reasons I myself do not fathom, a sizable portion of any population will blindly follow those who set themselves up as leaders, even in the face of damning evidence that said leader should not be trusted or is an outright liar and con man. There was an experiment w/rats in school about this, but I forget the details, just the results. Odd, that of all the animal world, humans should be most like rats insofar as behaviors and thinking are concerned. Not very edifying, what? :-/

for sure..
Just as in Germany there were countless germans who maintained that Hitler had not done anything wrong. It's very easy to get cuaght up in the small details and refuse to acknowledge the big picture.

Be careful -- gonzo will get after you for saying "Hitler"..
He sez -- it's a no - no...

Ya, same line of thinking that prevents people from saying "I'm opposed to the war"?
People willfully get you trapped up in the semantic networks and you come out on the other end guilty of some abstract, contradictory association.
sydney : "Hitler lived in Germany"
Gonzo: "You basterd! how could
you support that man!?"
sydney: "ahh..umm..but.."
Gonzo: "..but nothing.. you son of a bitch...I ought to rip your nuts off"
is that what gonzo's about?

The odds of you being more knowledgeable and more experienced than I am is so close to zero it may as well be zero. And FYI the same for intelligence as the oddos of your being smarter than I am is also ZERO!
And [personal attack deleted] I use my full name. Id o not HIDE behind some screen name like you and nearly all, if not all of those who disagee with me do.
Next, [personal attack deleted] I have, and have had since 2003, a list of EIGHTEEN FACTS why the Iraq War is not only FULLY Justified, it is a very necessary part of our war on Terrorists. NO ONE has been able to DISPROVE even one opf these reasons much less mor than one of them.
[personal attack deleted] Leave the thinking to those of us who actually use things like logical thinking skills and who have the intelligence to do so.

That's NUTHIN'! I have THIRTY SIX facts that show just the opposite! And I've had them since 1903!
