Sarah Palin Might Be A Lying, Phony, Hot Grandmother - Comments Page 2

The Kos Guard is claiming that Trig Palin (the Down Syndrome one) is actually her daughter's daughter. SCANDALOUS!

Guess what I found out this week. Sarah Palin didn't have the Down Syndrome baby. It's her daughter's love child. How do I know? I heard it on Daily Kos! (There's your plug, Markos. I accept most major credit cards.)…

Guess what? I was just listening to Hannity and he had on radio guy from Alaska. He blew Hannity away because he said everything we hear is TRUE! She a lying B*&(*! The taxes are the highest in the world and they are nearly 100% certain that the baby is NOT Sarah's but her daughters!

And what sane woman would get on a jet after her water breaks? I've had two kids and you do not want to expose the baby to stranger germs once the water breaks. You get your ass to a hospital ASAP. In my case I got in the bed and had my baby at home only 45 minutes after the water broke.

    She is a lying B!

So I guess that this announcement made today by the Governor herself about her daughter's pregancy is supposed to squelch the rumors. But suppose she did cover for her daughter... what is one more lie, and what if -- wonders never cease in this case -- it turns out that they later allege that this newly reported pregancy ends up in an alleged miscarriage? If that raises any eyebrows it will be after the election in November anyway, right? For me, if the original rumors are credible, this well-timed "announcement" is not evidence either way. In the original rumor, people at the local health center would have had to have been in cahoots with the Governor -- and that could still be the case. I'm not saying the rumors are true, only that this announcement has no bearing whatsoever on their plausibility -- unless of course you for some reason believe this new "fact" -- but then why would you have believed the initial rumor? On the other hand, if they lied then, they are lying now -- and the "beauty" of it (for them) is that the truth of this new revelation is unverifiable, unless Bristol, unlike her mother, is actually showing signs of being pregant.

It's funny. I don't know how many kids Canada's PM has, nor do I know his wife's name. I think the same can be said for most of my fellow Canadians, although a quick Google could solve that.

Point being, why in the sweet blue hell do any of you care? American elections remind me of high school.

Ok, let's say Bristol was pregnant. Rather than have an abortion she gave her baby to her mother to raise. Isn't that the responsible, family values thing to do? It's a pro-life, pro-family decision and I don't see exactly what the big problem is. If the story is true (which I don't believe) they faced a problem which many famiies face and dealt with it in a responsible way that fits with their political ideology. So?

According to FAUX News, Bristol, 17, IS pregnant, and is marrying the father.

This, according to a statement released by the Palin family.

Them American kids just can't keep their legs closed or zippers shut, can they? Yup, the American consumo-porn society. The home of the cash and the land of the free (chicks)....

Wow some of you guys are absolutely unhinged.

First.........the Daily Kos reported that the Down's Syndrome baby in the Palin family was actually Sarah's daughter and not hers and that Sarah said it was hers to cover for her. What the Palin family admitted today is that Bristol, Sarah's daughter is currently pregnant. Two very different things.

If the story about the daughter having the Down's Syndrome child is true then there are in fact some pretty creepy goings on in the Palin clan. If it is not true (which is most likely) then the folks at the daily KOS are some of the most despicable people on the plant (no bir surprise there)

The fact that the Palin daughter is pregnant now does not, at least to my way of thinking, cast a negative light on Sarah. There are millions of parents of teenage daughters out there and anyone one of them could easily see this happen to their family. Would that make all of those parents somehow bad people. I'd say no but because Palin is a prominent politician she's now going to be labelled as the world's worst mom by a bunch of nuts with a political agenda.

To be fair though both sides use this type of baseless character assassination as we saw rumors floating around weeks ago of an angry Michelle Obama ranting on videotape about "whitey." No tape ever turned up and the story went away as should this story if it is false.

No wonder why honest, decent people never get involved in politics and we end up with these egotistical, narcissistic, self-serving, power hungry lying SOBs. It's just not worth it.

...Except for the fact that Gov. Palin is on record as being an adamant supporter of "abstinence only" sex education for public schools.

I don't have to bash any party to find that irony truly delicious.

Sarah Palin might also be anti-drug (I'd imagine she is), but that doesn't mean her kids won't sneak off into the Alaskan wilderness and smoke some weed. What's your point?

I guess it's just that Democrats are shocked when a Politician's kid up and turns out to be their own person, instead of a programmed droid that's good for mommy and daddy's career. (Please recall the Bush Sisters' little alcohol thing for past examples). It's also quite apparent that the Dems are shocked that Palin didn't immediately disown her daughter for doing something potentially embarassing.

I think it speaks to their REAL ideas on parenting, really...

When Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin arrived backstage for our NEWSWEEK Women & Leadership Event in Los Angeles last March, John McCain had just wrapped up the GOP nomination. Palin had yet to endorse McCain"she liked Mitt Romney"and as we waited in the green room, I urged her to "feel free" to make some news on stage. She grinned broadly"looking back, I guess it was a grin of the Cheshire Cat variety"and thanked me for the offer.

Once onstage, together with Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano, Palin talked about what women expect from women leaders; how she took charge in Alaska during a political scandal that threatened to unseat the state's entire Republican power structure, and her feelings about Sen. Hillary Clinton. (She said she felt kind of bad she couldn't support a woman, but she didn't like Clinton's whining.)

I joked with her about being on McCain's short list for vice president, and we had a good chuckle. We also talked about the challenges of running a government while also raising a large and young family. At the time, I didn't know that Palin, clad in a loose, dark dress, was seven months pregnant with her fifth child. An aide called me the next day to tell me that Palin would be announcing the pregnancy at home in Alaska and that she had wanted me to know as a courtesy. She was sorry she hadn't mentioned it the night before.

I dunno, a disaffected member of Generation X? a Hippy's kid might? um... I mean, "Bristol" strikes me as not much different from some of the names kids had when I was in grade school, and one of the kids I went to High School with didn't have a legal first name at all-he just has his last name. The weirdest ones all seemed to be kids whose parents used to be hippies, but rejected the lifestyle...

Figger'n Ms. Palin was a kid in the sixties and a teen in the seventies, she may have picked up some cultural cues from her parents...

    WHY? The question is "why?"

Some wonder if its like the problem the Cheneys had, something totally unacceptable for a hardliner fundie family...

Then again, almost everyone thinks he'd be a great asset on the campaign.

Who cares about photos or the baby? The real scary thing is, and I say this as a lifetime conservative, that we have a potential VP who is not qualified, cannot answer the simplest questions on politics, the economy or foreign affairs, and is without substance. It's a sad state of affairs all the way around. I won't vote for this ticket because it is insulting to serious conservatives. There were many other great and qualified conservatives whom McCain could have chosen for a running mate. Palin is a joke to be taken seriously. Our nation is too great, powerful and important to have such a dismal failure and neophyte as a candidate.
