Obama Touts Near Twofer: Wins NC by Double Digits and Squeaks IN - Page 2

The Clintons are filthy... rich that is

Sometimes I have to kick myself for opening my big mouth. I wanted to call Bobby Kennedy Jr. Hillary’s elitist enabler because he helped her wear the mantle of a man like RFK, his father no less. But the truth was that I helped her to forge the image. When was she going to tell us she made 109 million dollars over the last decade? When was she going to tell us she was the populist in the race? Or better yet, who crowned that rich bitch the populist princess? Hillary is a master at reinventing herself or wearing metaphors that she kicks to the curb then picks up later when no one is looking and says to herself, “I think that fits me after all.” Hillary is brilliant, all right. She has us all fooled into thinking that she’s “the one.”

If you have any doubts about the populist roots of Obama, read his excellent memoir that he got up in the middle of the night or early morning every day to write it so that his family would have a better life. He learned this type of work ethic from his white mother, who would tutor him before school in the morning, to improve his skills. His family did not have a lot of money, but they were wealthy in spirit and passed this on to Barack as a child. He imbibed it and has put it to good use. My advice: use it. Barack is the king of populism. And don’t let John McCain or Hillary Clinton steal your thunder.

Stupid, draw back your bow

And let the super delegate vote flow to declare for Obama and bring this race to a screeching halt. The Barack express is back on track, with lots of steam, streaking past Hillary giving a stump speech to an all-white women crowd, and barely noticing John “McCane” crossing the tracks after the gates are down, warning signs up, flashing "stop!" Obama rolls like the Mississippi River over McCain & Company. And more and more the powers that be see and call it as Heloise: Hillary riding shotgun as the vice presidential nominee for her party and loving every minute.

    Heloise,

I tend to agree with much of your article. I do, however, take serious umbrage at the following reference to Senator Clinton:

[T]hat rich bitch. Senator Clinton is many things, but she is not a bitch; a bitch is a female dog. I have known, and loved, many male and female dogs, and not one of them bears any resemblance to Senator Clinton. Bitches and male dogs, with very rare exceptions in my experience, are loving, loyal and incapable of lying.

In preference to bitch, I would suggest that rich $*&*$&*%#$# or that pseudo populist or that lying, conniving, opportunistic jerk or something similar. You have a fertile imagination; come up with something better and more descriptive. Please.

I have read this statement to our three bitches and two male dogs, and they have authorized it.

    Dan,

My white, buff spotted "daughter" agrees.

She asked if you would run for office next time. I said I'd ask you. She'd give up her important window patrol time, protecting the family from those who dare walk the sidewalk past our home and put her paws to the pavement for you! Off course she cant wear primary colors and you must have a fluffy bed with pink linens on your bus and 14hr naps and gourmet treats and Swarovski crystal studded collars for your volunteers.

    Well, what do you say??

    HAHAHHAHA

    AHHHHHHHHHHH

    HAHAHAHHAHA

Either you're stupid or niave Helen. (probably both)

There is no way in hell that Barry Hussein Obama is EVER going to be president.

    Not gonna happen.

You and the other cult members are going to have to go all Jim Jones at the Obama headquarters the day after the election.

    Good riddance!

    Zedd,

Please thank your daughter for her kind thoughts. I think of our bitches as my daughters, and of our male dogs as my sons, and someday will tell you about our not quite three year old Akita bitch, Shadow, who was bitten by a snake on December 3rd, 2006 and died two days later despite all that we and our vet could do to save her. She was truly my daughter, and I miss her very, very much and always will.

Come the next election I will be 71 and can't promise anything, other than that it s my firm position that anyone silly and/or power hungry enough to run for the office of president should NEVER be elected.

My earlier comment may have been a tad frivolous, but referring to bad, nasty people as bitches really does get to me.

    Best,

    Dan

President Barack Hussein Obama. Has a good ring to it.

John Sidney McCain, former Republican presidential nominee. That sounds about right, as well.

Johnny could adopt a diminutive of his middle name and become a crime novelist: "Murder on The Straight Talk Express" by Sid McCain. That has possibilities.

Tell me B-tone......what southern states do you envision Barry winning?

Do you think he wins Florida? How about Ohio? New Hampshire?

You'll excuse me if I don't just take your word for it this time around....I seem to have been sold some rotten garentees in 2000 and 2004 about Democrat victories.

Why is it that whenever I see a picture of Michelle Obama she is always grimacing and the first thing that comes to mind is the Grinch?

You're a mean one Mrs. Obama........

But seriously.....Even you Barry Hussein Obama Osama cultists have to admit......she is one very angry, bitter, woman who is obviously ashamed of her country and gives off way too much bad mojo to be first lady.

It's a good thing her hubby doesn't have a shot in hell.

Actually, Michelle Obama is a quite pleasant and attractive woman. She has a great deal more class than you apparently imagine.

I think Obama will surprise in some southern states. Also, once the dust has cleared from the Dem convention, many of Hillary's followers will realize that Obama is a far superior choice to McCain. I can see Obama carrying Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Michigan, California, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Illinois. All of those states carry big electoral numbers - totaling around 210 or so. It may well be close, but your no "shot in hell" prediction is also your pipe dream.

I guess bashing the nation 24-7 qualifies as pleasant and classy in the circles you run in B-tone. As far as attractive..I wouldn't know. She's always scowling.

Barry had better hope he carries both Florida and Ohio because if he doesn't he is done for. I on the other hand can definitely see Mccain winning New Hampshire, Wisconsin, Missouri, and possibly even Michigan if Romney is on the ticket. Oh and who are you kidding....we both know that Obama is not going to carry a single southern state.

Is Archie arguing that Obama can't win because all southerners are racists?

  • 12 - Dr Dreadful

    May 08, 2008 at 6:23 pm

Archie's predictions can't be taken all that seriously, given his track record. He was convinced that Romney was going to win the GOP nomination and the White House, and insisted that the Republicans would retain control of both houses of Congress in '06.

I don't think Florida will turn blue, but all Obama needs is to replicate Kerry's wins from '04 plus Ohio and a couple of the southern states (the Virginias and the Carolinas look most promising) and he's home and dry.

Arch can barely contain his disdain - no his hatred - for Obama, and apparently his wife as well. His comments - the substance and tenor of them place him teetering on the edge of blatant racism. His prognostications, as I said above, are pipe dreams.

No [personal attack deleted]. He won't win a single southern state for the same reason Kerry didn't win a single southern state. He's a leftist.

Obama is too far to the left to win. plain and simple.

I don't detect either lack of reason or vitriole in Bliff's question. You continually make statements that verge on racism and bigotry. You walk a thin line adjacent to a slippery slope - like your characterization of Michelle Obama as "uppity." You paint the picture. We just respond to what we see. You can't blame us for reading between the lines.

All Southerners aren't racists; a lot of Southerners are Black.

Of the remainder, a significant portion are racist, especially in the rural areas.

Clavos, that's true of the North, East, and West as well.

Luckily for our Republic, the more ignorant the person, the less likely they are to vote.

    Clav,

You are a southerner. Are you a racist? Or are you the only exception?

There are certainly racists everywhere in this country. Many blacks are racists as well. Will Obama carry any southern tier states? Perhaps not. Will racial bias affect the vote in other parts of the country? Probably. But, will all that preclude an Obama victory? I don't think so. As I've suggested before, there could be a ground swell for Obama as November approaches. It could be a runaway for him. Frankly, I hope so. There should be a solid repudiation of the Bush years.

    C'mon, B-tone, I didn't say ALL Southerners are racists.

Nor did I say all who live in the South are Southerners. I wasn't born here, and don't consider myself a Southerner.

Few people in Florida were born here, and Florida is a Southern state by location only (except in the rural areas of the Panhandle); culturally, it's Midwestern and Northeastern, except here in South Florida, where culturally it's not even American.

    Clav,

Apologies. I mis-read your comment. I gotta stop drinking. I guess I should have cleaned my glasses or something because I thought that was an odd statement coming from you.

While Arch may be right, as I've said, I think Obama could carry a few southern states. Of course, with the exception of Florida and perhaps Georgia, most of the southern tier states have but few electoral votes. (I know, there's Texas, but Texas is another animal all together.)
But, if the electoral count is close, should Obama pick up say a Mississippi or Louisiana, they could make the difference.

As I've said before, I don't look upon Obama as the second coming or anything. He's just a guy. But his candidacy has spurred unprecedented interest in what might have been an otherwise relatively hum-drum campaign. It is likely that Hillary would have breezed into the nomination without Obama in the picture, and having a woman head up a presidential ticket would have added some interest. But Hillary is in many respects, old news.

Barack brings an energy to presidential politics never seen before. Bobby K. might have accomplished something similar back in '68, but we'll never know.

Certainly, Obama's race is a key factor. But there is something about the man, which some here apparently refuse to see or to admit that raises him above the ordinary. I have yet to see him flustered or particularly ill at ease. His wits are (almost) always about him. I have, of course, seen him tired. How could he or Hillary not be? Frankly, I don't know how either of them are still on their feet.

I really hope that Clinton stops her campaign. She probably won't do so before the last primaries in June, but I think last Tuesday's votes here in Indiana and down in North Carolina put the kibosh to any momentum she may have had. She is beating what I'm afraid is a dead or at least dying horse.

I am anxious to see McCain and Obama square off. That may prove to be a very interesting battle. I'm not a McCain hater. I don't see how one could actually hate the man. He's given a lot to this country. But I do oppose him ideologically on the war, on the economy, on health care and on some social issues.

As far left as Obama is accused of being, I find some of his positions a bit too centrist for my tastes; mainly his opposition to gay marriage. (I know, he supports civil unions, but that falls short of affording absolutely equal rights for gays under the law.) But on the whole, Obama best represents my interests and my concerns.

Obama may prove to be far more shrewd than most of us imagine. He may be a clever, close to the vest poker player who "knows when to hold em, and knows when to fold em." We'll see.

Wrong again. Uppity has absolutely no racial connotations in and of itself. PAr for the course for a liberal like...you need no excuse nor legitimate reason to accuse somone else of being a racist or bigot. The mere fact that anyone would disagree with you in any situation where a person of color may be concerned is, in your mind, just cause to label them a racist.

Not that your race baiting little mind can understand...but the reason I called Michelle Obama uppity is because she has never publicly shown any appreciation as far as I knwo for the nation that has allowed to her to live a lavish lifestyle, make over 300K a year and witness her husband run for president. She has so much more to be grateful for than so many other Americans, black, white and otherwise. But instead of a little appreciation or gratitude for the nation in which she lives that made the things in her life possible we get "I've never in my adult life been proud of this country until now."

You can spin it any way you want b-tone but the bottom line is she's a bitter, arrogant, angry..and yes uppity woman. She is this way despite the fact that she's led a very charmed life.

Yes I do despise Michelle and Barry but it has nothing to do with race. If you weren't a race baiting moron leftist you'd realize that. in case you haven't noticed I have more than a healthy disdain for Billary, for the same reason I can't stand the Obama,s for the same reason I despise Ted Kennedy, John Kerry......

    they're all useless fucking liberals

"As far left as Obama is accused of being"

    There's no accused about it.

Comparing his voting record to the records of the majority of the rest of the politicians in this nation Obama is far left......and if you think he's going to be able to hide this from the American public this fall you're in for a rude awakening b-tone

Obama a leftist? Doesn't seem like it. In fact, the cavil of most dems seems to be that he is too centrist. For example, his healthcare plan is very right of Hill. Being against the Iraq Invasion seems to be a position increasingly popular among rightists, so that would hardly qualify.
