On front page of Drudge Report is the claim that the NYTimes has new and exclusive details on the Plame case. Of course, they wouldn't want to share them first with the prosecutor investigating the case nor would they want to recuse themselves from reporting on it considering one of their own reporters is in jail for refusing to cooperate with the prosecutor and come clean. They fault the White House for clamming up, but they are faultless for doing the same thing about their own involvement... go figure.
Maybe they'll be coming out with the source they used, because it isn't Rove that Judith Miller is sitting in jail to protect. More likely, they'll continue their attack on the White House in an attempt to be objective or something.
Maybe they realize that if Rove committed a crime by releasing the name (a fact far from proven) that they ALSO committed a crime by printing that same name. It takes 2 to tango... if Rove goes down, so does the MSM because in the end, they are just as guilty.

The NYTimes is hyper-ventilating over "I heard that, too."
Both cases now have reporters contacting Rove (not vice-versa and hence, not a leak) and this line is even thinner than the first that Cooper used.
If this is all they can come up with, then it's a pretty pathetic show of partisanship on the part of the NYTimes.

The story that reporters contacted Rove, comes from an A.P. piece thats based on a leak, from the Grand Jury testimony Rove gave. He claims reporters contacted him first and that he acknowledged the fact that Plame was a CIA agent. This all happened before the stories were run about her being a CIA agent.
Thats about as believable as "I didn't inhale" and oral sex doesn't count as sex.
Not to mention this isn't the first time Rove has been involved in something like this, his famous for his disreputable behavior.

New York Times, for the Friday edition.
Question? The only way the NYT has gotten this story is a leak within the Grand Jury itself or the office of the Special Prosecutor.NEWSFLASH: This leak violates the law; grand jury testimony in special investigations are supposed to remain secret.

That and about 48 different news agencies filed briefs saying no law was violated.
I should try to get my hands on the NYTimes filings... I bet to keep Miller out of jail, they said the same thing.
