Non-Existent Rights Have Bankrupted America

Part of: The View From Abroad

Back in May, President Obama rightly said that our current deficit spending as a nation is “unsustainable.” He stated that high interest rates would be the result for borrowers if we continued to borrow money from other countries to finance our debts. In the President’s own words,

We can’t keep on just borrowing from China. We have to pay interest on that debt, and that means we are mortgaging our children’s future with more and more debt. It will have a dampening effect on our economy.
I agree wholeheartedly with Obama on this one, and as many of you know, this is an extremely rare occurrence, so enjoy it. But, before the Obama backers get too gleeful I disagree strongly with the President’s public stand that rising health care costs are the major reason for the huge deficits we face now and into the future. To be sure, those costs are high and expected to rise further in years to come, but the President is using these health care costs scare tactics to get his socialized medical plan through Congress.

The real cause of our enormous debt is the mindset which has been cultivated in the minds of many Americans by the statements and the actions of iconic political hacks like Ted Kennedy. For many decades now, Kennedy and many others of the same ilk have been espousing the concept that every American is entitled to an array of special rights. All we need to do is petition the government and demonize the opposition to get what is “rightfully ours.” Thus, a whole industry of special interest groups has developed, encouraged by the rhetoric and advocacy of the aforementioned political hack and his colleagues in Washington clamoring for favored federal treatment (bank and auto company bailouts), non-existent rights to cheap medical care, free food, subsidized rent and college educations, corporate welfare, farm subsidies, retirement income, disability benefits, and unemployment insurance. The military industrial complex should be thrown in there as well, because the politicians in Washington have delivered on what seems like one endless war after another.

The list of goodies goes on and on. At the end of the day, we have been left with an $11.5 trillion debt and annual deficits of over $1.5 trillion. To show for it, our infrastructure is crumbling, our schools are impoverished, our citizenry is unhealthy, we are bogged down in two wars, while over the years, millions of good jobs have left our country to relocate to places where business climates are more favorable.

I'm still trying to get over the fact that now people think they are entitled to everything, including health care, cell phones, education, computer access and a nice house. This gives pause to those who actually WORK to obtain those things.

This opinion piece is based on logic and common sense and it is refreshing to read. We need lots more like it.

"Federal Reserve has done a great job of helping the politicians avoid tough budgetary decisions by firing up the money printing press to cover the huge shortfall."

This is the greatest fallacy in liberal thinking in their efforts to meet their utopian dream by just printing more money. It is the most insidious thinking know to man, yet thy revel in it.

STOP THE PRESS’S and the value of the dollor will increase and let the people generate the wealth they need to live by hard work, as they (not the government) are the only means in which to creat it (of and for themselves). Then they well respect it when it is hard earned.

The right to create your own wealth is the only true entitlement the Constitution and the Bill of Rihts grants and it lays it out in clear English better then any document ever written in the history of nations by free men for free men. Everything else is plunder of someone or something and is a raping of these two profound documents of profound freedom.

Freedom isn't free, it takes brave people to live it and maintain it. America is becoming a nation of cowards, and the libersls are engabling it with entitlements, some knowingly and some unknowingly. They are braking the very backbone of bravery and freedom that made this nation the most productive the world has ever know. Now they want to break that up and spread it around insted of enabling others to earn it for themselves here an the world over.

Our liberal leaders today do not have the courage to keep leading us to the bravery of freedom. They instead are leading us to the prison of collectivism like a heard of cattle where we can be molded and conditioned and controlled in believe the lie that we as a nation are too prosperous and use up too much of the worlds resource. We must be curtailed in our efforts now, and we must now share with the rest of the world our hard worked for property. They what you to believer it has come at expense of everyone else, when the real truth is it has come from freedom, and if those who do not have property were once truly free and their freedom had been protected as ours once was, they too would have prosperity abundantly too. But they do not want prosperity for those who do not have it as they would lose control over them. They want them also placed in the prison of collectivism like a heard of cattle for a forced heard of equalization. The new liberal world order. Oh thank you our liberal gods of utopia.

Eventually there will be another American Revolution as our founding fathers enlightened us we would need if we valued our freedom. I for one will take up arms and be on the front lines in this coming fight, as I will never bow to these liberal godless cowards of freedom..

Around here if you don't think people deserve all those things you mentioned they call you hateful...wait, I take that back, you're hateful if you don't think you should have to give up your hard earned dollars so others can have those things.
