Irani sources indicate that it was cancelled because the US hassled them in regard to visas.

As I pointed out in comment #22, I didn't expect a real provocation from Iran for a while. It does not appear that the present Iranian action was a real provocation. But it is from actions like these that real conflicts can grow.

I should be a bit clear here. I stand unarmed guard duty outside of the prime minister's office building, which is analogous to the executive office building in DC. This is part of my duties as a police volunteer.
Doing this has bothered my conscience in the past, and I refused to do this during the period of time in the summer of 2005 when Jews were being expelled from their homes in Gush Qatif.
