Mandela was a terrorist, he condoned militant tactics and founded the militant wing of the ANC. Winnie is even worse. Im not saying that what he was fighting for isn't an honourable cause, but the tactics Mandela and the ANC used were horrific and helped to further demonise black people, and it sickens me to hear him referenced alongside true heroes like Martin Luther King and Gandhi.

Ozzy 104 ... Oops ... Mandela was in jail all the time the ANC were playing up, so he wasn't even condoning the tactics. He was doing his best to survive his imprisonment on Robben Island.
If Mandela is still a terrorist, how come South Africa and the ANC had a charter embracing truth, and reconciliation - and dare I say it, forgiveness - for all South Africans?
You know, just a thought.
Cause if anyone had a right to be bitter, it was Mandela and some of his mates.
But no, South Africa hasn't been torn apart by hate and bitterness in the past 15 years. Mandela's vision for a rainbow nation isn't far off the truth in modern Sth Africa.

Mandela should still be considered a terrorist, just as Osama Bin Laden. Neither of them personally planted bombs that killed innocent people (that we know of), but being the leader of an organization that did, does not make you innocent just because you have not done it personally.
Not to mention the necklacing of poor "Stompie" and other attrocities instigated by Winnie Mandela and the ANC, serves her right not being admitted into Canada. Well done Canada!.
Think about this, if Hitler lived today,or for that matter take Osama bin Laden, if either spent years in prison, said they are sorry (which I do not believe Mandela ever did say), would they also (like Mandela) be able to win the Nobel peace prize and become president of their country.....

ALL WAS FINE AFTER SHE SAID THAT AND THEY EVENTIALLY WENT BACK TO SOUTH AFRICA AFTER SHE CAME BACK TO AMERICA WITH US ON THE SAME AIR PLANE, APRIL 16TH 1997 SO THAT HER HUSBAND CAN GO TO SCHOOL HERE IN THE STATES.
