Hearing about the bombings in London, almost immediatly after they happened, is not what one would like to start his/her day whith. Reading what is currently known and is still under investigation did point to some intresting thoughts.
Although there is now an organization that claims to have done it, and possibly has, best is to leave open all possibilities. I wonder if there exists or is being developed a system that checks CCTV footage, especially the faces to a database keeping record of known criminals and/or suspected members of criminal organizations. It might make their work easier, and it might also bring up other links or identify other criminals. This could lead to other investigations or not.
From the little information there currently is one could conclude that either the Al Qaeda gang changed their tactics or it was not done by professionals. At that hour there could have been far more people who died than the numbers currently known, there are a lot of casualties, but compared to the previous attacks done by the Al Qaeda gang the magnitude of this is less. It could have been far bigger, far worse. It could be that we got used to it, but still. It looks in my modest personal opinion, as it was inspired by the bombings in Spain, rather than on the same scale.
Perhaps that the bombs had a set timer, and that the one in the bus is one where the person carrying it got stuck in traffic, and therefore, detonated in the bus. I'm not an expert in explosive devices and hope never to be one, but it could indicate that if there were people who carried them, they had nothing to say about when they would detonate. If that's the case that would mean that those carrying the bombs were merely messengers, and that the brains, the persons who made them are far fewer,and perhaps known by all messengers.
The only thing that may have happened is that the person who left it in the bus, or was perhaps carrying it, got nervous, and somebody noticed it. Even if that would have happened then the person or person(s) that did notice it still have to be alive. I can not help it but it looks like a gimmick of the attack in Spain, but not as well planned. Thank god. The above of course is mostly only speculation of what could have happened, and the ongoing investigation will show what has happened.
