I love how conservatives now think Hitchens is the greatest thing since Reagan and quote him often.
This is the same Hitchens that wrote a book that made Mother Teresa sound like Hitler and thinks the U.S. is winning the war.
Yeah I have plenty of reasons to question his truthfulness.

Scott, of course you have plenty of reasons to question Hitchens' truthfulness- he's saying stuff that you don't want to hear. What you don't have is any LEGITIMATE reason to question his truthfulness.
You may question Hitchens' interpretations, but you have no reason based on empirical reality to accuse him of not being truthful.
Mother Teresa did take money from some ugly dictator types, arguably making her complicit in providing at least some fig leaves of moral cover. Supposed saints are some of the people who most need to be scrutinized and not taken at face value.
Plus, as hard as you may wish for Bush/US failure in Iraq, the Baathists are gone from power, and they ain't coming back. The remnants are making the victory expensive, but there's no way now for that country but forward.

I have plenty of legitimite reasons to question the wisdom or accuracy of anyone who thinks Bush is a good idea, that the war is winnable, etc.
