Iranian Oil Bourse Threatens U.S. Dollar and World Economy - Comments Page 3

Iran's latest bid to unseat U.S. dominance is likely to end badly and could take our economy with it.

Iran has announced its intention to create an oil bourse (market) denominated in euros on its soil. The U.S. will likely not permit its creation if it can prevent it. This appears to be a last desperate effort on the part of the Iranian leadership to create an alternative to Anglo-American financial power in order to become the center of an anti-U.S. resistance worldwide and avoid having to stop their WMD program.…

No, the country would be better off with the Marx brothers in charge. Groucho would make an excellent president.

The Three Stooges were both incompetent and unfunny, and that's not any better than what we have now. Cheney and Rumsfeld are at least occasionally amusing.

On the other hand the stooges ARE all dead.

Anybody else see "The Mouse That Roared." That was the "Q" Bomb wasn't it?

Maybe the only real WMD due any concern is the Iranian Oil Bourse. We give everybody that asks, the bomb. To date the only ones "hormonal" enough to set it off is US. Maybe the only real enemy is our Imperialist National Government.

Over the past 60 years it has been shown that WMD are considered to be defensive weapons.

Unless a country is attacked, it is extremely unlikely it would use WMD.

We should focus on what would precipitate the use of WMD, instead of giving reason for it to occur.

A nuke is a defensive weapon? How does that work? You threaten to blow up your country if someone invades it?

america/israel need to be wary of a powerful iran, this is no iraq and look at the problems we have had there. Iran is more powerful economically and militarily not to mention have a much more faithful following. I say we should walk on eggshells with this one.

ps. i am all for supporting a democratic israel in the mideast, we can certainly use friends in that region, but israel should remember and be thankful for the 4 billion dollars a year in economic aid not to mention untold military hardware that has kept 1 billion angry muslims at bay for the past 60 years. if we are as evil as alot of you guys say then this is truly a case of sleeping with the enemy because no u.s. means no israel.
