So, I have a question: Are all of the children that were "left behind" now Republicans? It doesn't seem to me that should be the case, but with all these polls I have to wonder???
I pose this question for a very simple reason: I have not heard one Republican friend, family member, casual acquaintance, or total stranger be able to articulate in a clear and informed manner why they like Bush?
Even more intereseting is the fact that they are unable to form the words necessary to express why they insist on voting for him again.
I just don't get this country! All these Bushies do is resort to attacking the other side. I can understand why they do that, but it still doesn't answer the question of why they like him enough to vote for him again? When faced with such a wealth of un-spun information that illuminates the complete mismanagement of this nation, how can any voter still believe that Bush is a good option? Again, if he is worth voting for, why can't you tell me anything other than attacks on the other side? That is not answering my question!
How is it that people who are clearly at a cross-roads; feeling trapped somewhere between the voting habits of times-gone-by, and the factual horrors of this Administration, are unsure what to say or do??? I know why. You know why. I believe that they know why.
Because voting the way they always have in the past feels wrong. The old voting habits that used to tell them "it will all be OK" just aren't working. The old stand by of "it doesn't matter that much. No President can cause that much trouble for the country in just four years" isn't working for them this time either. The voters conscience is getting in the way of those lines of reasoning.

And how about all the polls that show that Bush supporters are WRONG about most of the important facts related to Iraq and the terrorists; ie status of WMDs, Hussein's non-connection to 9/11, the number of Saudis that took down the twin towers, etc etc.?
And it turns out the Dems consistently have the correct info relative to all of that news.
Are Dems smarter, better informed, or both?
And are the Bush supporters stupid, gullible, or just too tuned into FOX, Rush, et al nutbar liars to be able to figure out the facts?
Or worse yet, do these GOP sheep pay too much attention to the LIES AND DISTORTIONS Bush, that lying scum Dick Cheney, et al in the administration constantly repeat OVER AND OVER?
If the constitution said you have the right to an informed opinion, most of the GOP's domesticated primates wouldn't be allowed to vote.
