I mentioned here that I think HeadCount, the jam band voter registration organization, is doing it right, getting people involved with the process but not telling them how to vote.
Between now and the election, HeadCount will stage a weekly memorabilia auction to help raise funds for their get out the vote effort (including extensive distribution of absentee ballot materials and other initiatives).
Their first item - donated by the Jerry Garcia estate - is a limited edition print of a sketch by Garcia titled "Bluesgrass Musician." To bid on the item, pictured below, click HERE. The print is numbered 28 out of 300.
Jerry lives on through his art, and wistful crap like that.
