George Bush promotes pyramid...

The president has admitted that he sometimes talks without thinking things through.

The President is worried that he might have made another slip of the tongue that has affected policy. He had been at a meeting where various departments had been speaking. One administration official from the health department had commented on the need for an administration announcement on Americans having a balanced diet, while another administration official had discussed how the US should be treating prisoners in the war on terror.

George may have gotten mixed on which one to tell "keep them healthy" and which one to tell "stress the pyramid".

George Bush is considering whether to hold another meeting to straighten out any possible confusion, but it is a couple years early to be admitting any more possible second thoughts.

It's easy to say "Bring' em on!" when you've got a few hundred thousand troops between you and the bad guys.

I always thought that we should ask for sincerity and trust from our president, but not perfection.

My view on Bush is that it is important that he always be like Caesar's wife -- not only virtuous, but also appear virtuous. That means he needs to answer some suspicions that many of his focus or decisions are made without the best interest of the country in mind. If I can be assured of that, I can afford him to make a few mistakes, and still go for him.

As for being able to talk without thinking things through, many lawyers and politicians do that (grin)...
