Failing The Probation Review - Page 4

The American people aren't as organized as the BRIC nations, but give them time and the Tea Baggers will be dwarfed by the hordes of angry, impoverished Americans whom Obama seems to want to increase. Both groups are losing patience that Obama will act in a positive manner for anyone but the top 1% of the American economy. BRIC is already taking the international steps that the American people will have to take domestically once they give up on the Democrats, for the Republicans (whose most recent approval rating is lower than that of Dick Cheney!) cannot be expected to do any better. Unlike the BRIC nations, who recognize that action needs to be cautious and closely monitored, the American people don't understand the need for such hesitation. They will want the world and they will want it now, and woe betide he who denies them satisfaction!

As I see it, you have until the end of the year to fix things, Barry. You have to show some effort and improvement, or the shareholders of the American nation will insist that you be replaced. If you think you have problems now, what will you face with a Republican majority in Congress? The American people are not so discriminating as to not return power to those who created the mess, especially if you aren't seen as doing anything to improve their lot. Is this the legacy you want to leave? Establishing that the Democrats don't mean what they say, and won't act anyway if they do?

If you don't care enough to keep this betrayal of hope from becoming a reality, then don't be surprised if you give Karl Rove his long-desired generation of Republican dominance. It's enough to make you sick - and I've been ill too much lately.

I hate to comment on an article without having read it, but Kevin Phillips is not a conservative.

When did Realist claim that he was?

NM, apparently you read the article more closely than I did. He does actually make that claim. Not surprising. Realist's grip on conservatism is highly subjective.

There's also an old saying that "one should dance with the one which brung ya", and Obama has yet to lift his lame ass off the chair.

Again, wrong, Realist. Obama IS dancing with the ones who brung him. Specifically the unions and the democratic power brokers who put him in office. He doesn't see LGBT voters as significant enough to be worth paying off.

Dave, in the interest of your own safety, I wouldn't make the suggestion that Obama is dancing with the unions to any Texas UAW local member - I hear Texans like to answer unpleasant insults with violence.
