I am a Christian and I hope that I am on God's side. These "nuts" fashion God to please their views so instead of working to be on God's side they make a god that is on their side.I believe they fashion their god out of silly putty.

as a conservative...I can openly say that its not the best idea to mix politics with religion. these fundamentalist christian groups can scare me too, believe it or not. maybe we need more athiests or "believers in science" to run the country instead.

well any 1 can do that , they dont need to be in a religious group. and athats just about the only good they have done, ever. im not saying that ppl who r religious r horrible ppl , not atol, i hav a few friends that r religious, im just saying that the world would be a very different place if religions were not here. there would be no wars (or very few at the least), no discrimination, no stup[id rules that they hav to follow that practicly ruin ppls lives. no torture for that matter. it would be better. religions tear ppl apart.

I love how people assume that the world would be so wonderful without religions and such. You remind me of some professors I have had in the past that used to preach their feminist ideals to our classrooms in college, despite the topics of the class. Same thing, if women had run the world all this time, there would be no wars and it would be a great big utopia!!!! How simplistic of a theory is that?!? Your jargen is completely subjective and I say this not as a religious "nut", but rather as someone who enjoys having factual information to stand on. Religion is completely woven into American culture; always has been and always will be.

Theocracies like Iran is just what people like Jerry Falwell and his kind with the Mega churches of the fundimental evangelicals want in this country. I believe that the war we have right now directly caused by the Falwell groups who want to see the end of the world. What has to be done is to teach the evil lies of the clergy, muslim or christian, and learn that you can love God and KNOW GOD and you do not need a Clergy invented Creed to know God. Think for yourself and you will see that these HATE monger Theologs do not have your interest at heart. Their goal is money, power, and patriarchy. Rid the world of religion, not God, Rid the world of creeds, not God. Learn that the creator is personal to you. Following theological mega stars that just love you to worship them, with your money and time and work, and sacrifice in their name, Amen, will gain you nothing with God your creator.
Go out side and look at what God created, consider yourself as a worthy person. Preachers use the FUD system of control. Fear, uncertanty, and doubt, soon you feel very bad about your poor sinful self. God created you, the preacher is trying to make you a sinner, to make you easier to control. I will be writing a book about who caused this war in the middle east and why. It will suprise a lot of people who put their trust in a lot of liers who call themselves pastors of christian churches.
