It isn’t always easy being Canadian, according to Will Ferguson, but it can be a lot of fun. Asked to write a follow-up to his runaway bestseller Why I Hate Canadians, Ferguson, who’s Canadian himself, ...

I just want to apologize for mike. I'm sorry.

No, really, just pay no mind to us. Just go about your business, however foul and satanic it might be. I'm sure he was just trying to be a shit-disturber, over-excited after too much curling and too many rye-and-gingers.

I think it is quite admirable that Canada is the most independent and feisty of the U.S. territories.

One of the things I like most about Canada is that it's within driving distance to the U.S.

    Mike,
At one time Hockey was all Canada had left, but the good ole USA has (being bigger, better and stronger)taken most all Hockey away from Canada. My numbers may be off slightly, but I counted 24 USA based NHL teams and a weak 6 Canadian teams. As far as your childish excitment about your former leader being "a dope smoking fiend" that alone speaks volumes as to why Canadians are so fucking stupid. As far as Gay marriage I could give a damn less. Go marry your boyfriend. If Canada had anything decent left (other than the whisky)we'd soon own that too. See ya Little Brother

Here, here. I too think Canada rocks.

The aforementioned 'US' based NHL teams, are made up primarily of, you guessed it, Canadians. And then Europeans. Then Americans.

The Gov't's stance on pot is based on facts and realties, not propaganda & political agenda's.

And wow, someone mentioned the sport of curling!! You can't get much more Canadian than The Brier! Nice.

....oh and don't forget the beer.

Even if so, why can't the sorry assed Canadians keep the sport? Yeah, where ever you go there are multi national players, but in a strong sport they end up in the good ole USA. Why? We all know! If you have a problem talk to the players and see why they prefer the US over a lessor Canada... Reality is reality... I know the truth hurts. Give me a P.O. Box and I'll send you some tissues.

A proud Canadian (#8) says: The simple thing is [sic] USA sucks. They think there [sic] the best thing that ever happened to everybody. They're just Bush loving, War Supporting, Mcdonald [sic] eating wierdos [sic].

    But we're much better spellers.

"I think it's quite admirable that Canada is the most independant and feisty of the US territories."

Heh, not quite dude. However, US would make an excellent 14th province for Canada. But then again, who would want your loud-mouthed, arrogant, stupid, disrespectful asses in their country anyway? Except for the guy who wrote this thing, everyone else here really seems to fit into that image.

PS- I have no problem with America, but you Americans really need to show some respect.

Canada may only have 6 teams in the NHL, but these 6 teams won more championship titles in their history than every other team in the league. So yeah.

Canada has, is and will always be a hockey super-power. Along with Russia and Sweden.

I'm neither Canadian nor American but Canada holds a dear place in my heart. What other country has braille printed on its paper currency? Yeah, yeah, the US is bigger, no doubt. It's the elephant in Canada's south and Canada feels its every breath but Canada is a far more just society. Give me "just" over "big" (and c'mon, we're all thinking about it, "arrogant").

Canada is a great Country, and the Canadian flag is the most recognized flag in the world. People flee to this land of Freedom, and I couldn't be prouder to be born here. America was making slaves out of black people a long time ago (NOT saying I hate Americans) and Canada, along with some US residents, built the Underground Railway, and delivered many to freedom. Everybody in Canada has rights and respect. We do not want to be involved in the war, although I can see why lots of Americans are war obsessed. After all, so many lives were lost in the twin towers. I personally don't like Americans I guess though. I have been sent lots of American hate mail for being Canadian. A particular American called me a fat ass Canadian bacon eating freak. We just call it ham!! Have you ever seen Family Guy, or other American shows? Remember the Family Guy episode where Peter said Canada sucked? People think all Canada is is mountains and moose and lumberjacks! Well hmph! My friend has an American friend...HE DOESNT EVEN KNOW WHERE CANADA IS. ITS RIGHT BESIDE YOU!!! No offense Americans. Just stop talking about the most respected country in the world like its dirt!!!!!!

Canada is America's hat, unless you use my correctional copy of Mercator's world map, which turns the whole thing upside down and has Australia and New Zeaand rightfully at the top and Britian and Europe down the bottom.

According to this map, Canada then becomes America's underwear.

    Give me hat, any day

I would support my country in a patriotic manner, but even this blog shows how fucked up people get when they do that.

If Canada is the USAs hat, then America has a huge head. And if it's the underwear, America has a huge ass. Canada is acctually bigger than the US. It's the second largest country in the world, and thats ok, because Russia is almost twice the size. Anyways, many Americans are quite ignorant. Canadians acctually learn about the US. Rick Mercer had Americans convinced Canadians had just gotten several things, including a 24 hour clock, a newspaper, and several others. He had an American Governor convinced that the Canadian Parlament building was an igloo. Seach "The Rick Mecer Report: Talking to Americans" on www.youtube.com to see clips from the episode.

I don't know why Canadians are so offended by people ripping on them. Canada fucking sucks. I should know, I live here. People just need to accept that the only reason why Canada is even recognized by the US is the fact that a lot of good talent has come from Canada, so why ruin a good thing?

In short, America>Canada in every way but the drinking age, uhhhhhhh can't think of anything else at the moment.
