Bush To Name Supreme Court Nominee Next Week

The Associated Press reports today that, President Bush will name his choice for a nominee to replace retiring Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor.

Bush was expected to announce his choice in the next few days. White House press secretary Scott McClellan ruled out an announcement Friday but otherwise indicated the nomination could come anytime. The president was to fly to Camp David around midday Friday and remain there until Sunday when he returns to attend the Red Mass, a service for all those in the legal profession.

President Bush did not offer any hints as to who was on his short list, but media speculation continues. One name not mentioned in the press, but was jokingly mentioned in a meeting I attended yesterday, was Senator Hillary Clinton, so she couldn't run for President. I don't see that happening but several of the Senators have said they will fight any previously submitted candidate that had been filibustered.

I have stated this before, and I will say it again. Why are these Senators making the Supreme Court partisan? Both parties do it and it is sickening. If the Judge is qualified then they should be confirmed.
and that's the way I see it! and now fir your thoughts...
