A popular and prominent cleric in London, Sheikh Omar Bakri Mohammed, warned that Muslims will continue to attack the capital until British troops are pulled out of Iraq and Afghanistan.
He went on to condemn the killing of innocent civilians, and then said that killing British and U.S. troops is "pro-life" and justified. In an interview with Reuters, Bakri described Osama bin Laden, leader of the radical Islamist network al Qaeda, as "a sincere man who fights against evil forces."
The topper, though, is probably this gem:
"I would like to see the Islamic flag fly, not only over number 10 Downing Street, but over the whole world," he said.

Why is this guy tolerated? Why is he not deported, or better, handed over to our boys at Gitmo? This is what the Brits get for being over-tolerant of extremists in their midst. If he's not guilty of murder himself, he's certainly guilty of inciting murder, 'cover' protestations to the contrary to give him an out before the law.
