The Ashley Todd hoax is not a scandal and it is not an outrage. It's a sad and pathetic commentary on our political degeneracy.
The increasingly ugly and angry tone of the presidential campaign began to take on new substance this week with the emergence of the story of McCain campaign worker Ashley Todd, who claimed that she had been attacked and brutalized by an Obama supporter in Pittsburgh.…

pablo,
Did you ever read Alan B. Jones book - How The World Really Works?
177 - Dr Dreadful
Dave, have you decided what country you're fleeing to after Obama wins? I understand Scotland's nice this time of year.
Nah, Jet, Scotland has a more or less permanent Labour government. And its only realistic challenger, the Scottish National Party, is even further to the left. It would be like a Yankees fan moving to Boston.

Mr. Comments editor,
It has come to my attention that I am being censored for using several innocuous words being bucko and bub--.
Perhaps you can explain to me or the owner of this site of whom I plan on asking, how is it that you can do this, and several minutes later I get this response sent my way from Jet.
"I've always suspected you paraded around in used panties. pink probably"
Methinks there is a bit of a double standard, and not only that that you are accruing a numerical account of my bub--s and buckos so that I may be banned from the site. Please tell me it aint like that Mr. Comment editor. I PROTEST.
I am all ears.
I do know blatant hypocrisy when I see it, and I will not hesitate to stand up for myself Mr. Comment editor.
179 - pablo
Franko,
I am familiar with the book but have not read it as of yet. Do you recommend it?
180 - Dr Dreadful
In the context you are using your bubbas, buckos, honeys, dears and other epithets, Pablo, they are certainly not innocuous.
Rest assured I am not keeping count and there is no thought of banning you. I am just finding your terms of 'endearment' rather tiresome.
I can make a case for them being personal attacks, but I would also remind you that that is not the only reason why comments may be edited.
I suggest you read the comments policy carefully. If you still feel you're being treated unfairly after that, please take it up with the management. Again.
181 - pablo
and the pink panty reference from Jet Dread?
and the offer of a jockstrap from a homosexual?
I am all ears brother.
Is that how it is Dread? Please tell me it aint so.
------------------------
I have been called far worse names by nalle numerous times in the past, not editing.
Now you allow an open homosexual to offer his jock strap to me, and thats not edited? then he offers the pink panty sentence? Are you friggin serious Dread?

In addition, we reserve the right to edit/delete comments that are some combination of pointlessly vulgar, vile, cruel, without redeeming qualities, and an embarrassment to the site.
Subjective? Yes, but we know them when we see them and so do you"
AND SO DO YOU DREAD
WHERE IS THE FAIRNESS HERE? AND I WILL TAKE IT UP WITH MANAGMENT AGAIN, DON'T WORRY.
183 - pablo
Perhaps you can explain this to me Dread.
I have been called on this site, by your political editor aligned with neo-nazis, a nut, a crackpot, a tin-foil hat dude, and numerous other deragatory terms. NONE of which have EVER been retracted, edited, or apologized for.
Yet I use the words bucko, bubba, as a retort, because I do not take being personally attacked lying down, and I get edited. Not Jet, not Nalle, just pablo.
I again remind you, in virtually every instance of my use of sarcasm or buckos or bubbas, I was personally attacked first. You can not find one instance of me ever initiating originally a deragatory term before someone had sent one my way.
No double standard here Dread?
184 - pablo
Dread,
You mentioned me using honey and sweetie in a deragatory fashion. This is what I am talking about.
Cindy asked for examples of Obama lying. Notice in my address to her the lack of sarcasm, here is what I said:
Cindy,
I will be happy to show you when Obama lied. On 3/31/08 Obama was asked if he was a member of the CFR, he claimed that he did not know if he was a member. That in itself is an outright lie, of course he knows that he is a member, as it is the most powerful prestigious political group in the country. The he went on cutely to say how their is no secret handshake for their members. Not only do you have to be vetted, and invited to join this globalist group, the dues are 500 bucks per year.
--------------
Any sarcasm there Dread? nope straighforwward answer not even a hint of sarcasm.
---------------
Cindy's answer to me:
"Pablo,
I am talking about lies as far as his platform, you know what he represents to his voting public are his stances on issues.
I am not talking about Ron Paul supporter crackpot conspiracy claims.
If that isn't what you are claiming then stop making allegations (what they even mean I have no clue). and present some evidence. Crackpot conspiracy sites don't count as evidence."
Notice the word CRACKPOT Dread, I answered her query directly without even a hint of sarcasm, didn't I? Yes I did. After that I referred to her as honey, and for damned good reason.
I would still like an answer to post 183. If I told YOU Dread would you like my jockstrap, and I was gay, how would you take it huh? And then if I had the audacity to further it by the pink panty remark, how would YOU like it?
Last time I checked they are both still there, so yeah I am damned pissed off about it.

I thought you might have of read it when you said you had spent the best part of 25 years studying political power, and because Alan Jones talks about the Cecil Rhodes, Bilderberg Group, Rothschild, JP Morgan, Carnegie, Chatham House, Kissinger, Cheney, basically all the same names your talking about.
I read it some years ago. I think I will read it again. It's 320 pages and a good reader can do it in a weekend. With my dylexia it's about a good weeks read for me.
Jones has selected and reviewed 12 books that will further lead to the details of the well oiled machine running the state of world affairs into the ground.
These books collectively establish common threads that point to the powers behind what has been happening in slow motion for the last 100 years, robbing individuals worldwide of their liberty and livelihood as the wealth of nations slowly spirals into economic decline and the hard earned money of the middle class disappears into the void.
The formats of the reviews are straight book reporting, which frankly diminishes the reading enjoyment, but is necessary for the amount of information covered. After reading the often shocking contents, an overwhelming need arises to investigate further by reading one or more of the titles reviewed. The importance of the material covered in this book cannot be overstated, and are of topics that the imbecile TV news `experts' you see prattling away just in time for your morning coffee wouldn't have a clue about.
The 12 books themselves, Jones does an admirable job in trying to sum up almost 6000 pages of information into just over 300, but the pace is often overwhelming. However, he gets the point across and makes the connections that in all these books, whenever certain stones were overturned, the same manipulators came skittering out from underneath.
You may have already read many of the other books Jones covers. If not, you might like this read and would give us a lot to disscuss/debate here.
From Jones book Introduction:
If it takes you more then a few days to read this book, I have defeated my own purpose. That purpose is to provide a shortcut for the politically astute reader to acquire the essential knowledge needed to be effective in the ongoing fight to save for our posterity that great experiment in freedom that was launched 200 years ago by our country’s founders.
I have selected and reviewed in this volume a mere handful of 12 of the many books which have been written outlining our various problems. Taken together, however, they will correctly spell out who we are really fighting, what their goals are, and what strategies they are utilizing to attain those goals. Once these matters are understood, effective counter strategies are easy to define. Without this understanding, our efforts will continue to be aimed at symptoms rather then cause, and will continue to be insufficient, misdirected, and ineffective.
These reviews cannot possibly cover all the detail contained in the original books themselves. They can however, convince you that our problems are interconnected in a way that you probably never guessed, and that very few of even the most politically active people understand. I urge you to acquire these several books yourselves to help you fill in more pieces of the puzzle for yourselves. Many of the actions most needed by our society will then become obvious to you, to the benefit of us all.
How The World Really Works
188 - pablo
Franko,
Thank you for your comments. I have been reading/posting on this blogsite for about a year. In that time, your comments tonight were the most succinct, level-headed, and well written comments that I have seen on this site, to this day. Of course I have a bias, and freely admit to it, that you are discussing topics central to my own research.
I see that the table of contents of this book read as follows:
1-A Century of War
2-Tragedy and Hope
3-The Naked Capitalist
4-The Tax-Exempt Foundations
5-The Creature from Jekyll Island
6-1984
7-Report from Iron Mountain
8-The Greening
9-The Politics of Heroin
10-Final Judgment
11-Dope Inc.
12-Let's fix America!
I am very familiar from my own research with the politics of heroin, particularly in South East Asia, where I reside a good deal of the time. And of course the research that Colonel Bo Gritz (the most highly decorated soldier of the Vietnam War) did about the CIA's involvement through such people as Richard CFR Armitage. This of course was prior to Oliver North's secret team of heroin importers, and of his criminal involvement by breaking the Boland amendment in the early 80's.
While on the subject of dope, the whole Mena Arkansas Barry Seal cocaine operation that Clinton and Bush Jr. were running is a very interesting subject as well.
I am also very aware of the Jekyll Island story and of the secret meeting that took place there to establish the criminal Federal Reserve. About the tax exempt organizations, Senator Reece's commission back in the 50's proved conclusively that the main endowments Carnegie, Ford, Rockefeller were all being used for nefarious globalist purposes.
So again, Franko, thanks for both your comments and your recommendation for this book, I have already ordered it!

Pablo,
"...the Boland amendment in the early 80's."
I remember the Boland amendment of 1982. It was passed 411 to 0 and signed into law by president Reagan. It only fooled the most naive. It was blatantly obvious that assurances were given to many that voted for it that it would be gotten around. This was also certainly obvious to the Democratic 'doves' that went along with the charade.
During Jimmy 'human rights' Carter's administration, after the coming to power of the Sandinistas in Nicaragua (1979), the U.S. was determined to prevent a repeat in El Salvador. Carter therefore sicced the dog Zbigniew Brzeziński on the Salvadorian people with support for the death squads.
Subsequently, between 1980 and 1992, during the conflict between the FMLN and U.S. supported security forces and the death squads, 75,000 were killed and 8,000 rendered disappeared.
[Les, I hope this now says pretty much what you wanted it to say. If I've missed or distorted anything, please let me know what needs fixing. Thanks.

Clav,
I guess all those things can be seen as "lying to get elected" in one way or another. His support of the wiretapping, was that a move toward center? He was doing a lot of moving toward center about then. It was making me mad.
I will concede the whole point. You know what attorneys say--never ask a question in court you don't already know the answer to. I usually try to follow that rule. Shame on me.
But I have to object to this!
I have some very nice land in western Broward county to sell you, for when you move down here.
I was hoping to be closer to the ocean. Although, I could just wait for global warming to bring the ocean to me. :-)
191 - Cindy D
Pablo,
I would like to apologize.
I can see that the word crackpot was unnecessarily inflammatory. No matter that I didn't call you a crackpot. The implication was about your potential evidence. I will try not to be so insensitive next time.
192 - Les Slater
Cindy,
"He was doing a lot of moving toward center about then. It was making me mad."
Center of what? Pure nonsense. It's called moving to the RIGHT. Both parties have been moving to the right. It's pretty far right these days. The talking about the center is just one means to attempt to disguise this.
Les
193 - Cindy D
Les,
I stand corrected. I was sloppily using the common parlance. You are quite right in my view. That actually is my view.
That is a lesson t me in how easy it is to fall into expressing things according to the "conventional wisdom" that don't actually express the truth.
Thanks for pointing that out!
194 - Jet
Pablo, can you possibly be more of a hypocrit? You yourself brought up the panties (#170 with a little smiley face no less), I just responded to it and now you're whining to Eric and Doc about it?
It's okay for you to insult people with your sarcasm but if someone else does the same thing to you, (or tops you) you cry foul.
Before you start screaming "hypocrit at Dr. Dread, you might try looking at yourself in the mirror [Personal attack deleted by Comments Editor].
195 - pablo
I want to make clear again, I NEVER called for Nalle to be banned from this site! I did call several days ago for him to step down from his editor position and why.
Cindy,
Thank you for your apology. The first one I have ever received on this site, and more than likely the last, again thank you.
Jet,
I made a comment to you I believe on another thread several nights ago, sarcastic yes, about your calling Dave your friend about 10 times. I said that you may be hitting on him. Was that really below the belt Jet? I think not, however, if it did really offend you I am sorry.
The panty reference was AFTER in post 168 (notice that 168 numerically is prior to post 170) you said:
"Oh Pabs you can have my train set from my youth and my highschool jockstrap-you needn't beg any further..."
Kapeche Jet?
There was no hypocrisy on my part. When a openly gay male such as yourself offers a jock strap in a sarcastic manner to me, or another guy, yes it is an insult and you know it, which is why you said it. I only responded in kind with the panty reference Jet.
As I have said before in virtually every instance, I have not initiated personal attacks, but when attacked I respond in kind.
I suggest Jet, that you go back in time to some of your original comments to me on this site, and you will see that you initiated this bitterness not I. The same is true of Nalle, and Clavy.
Again in the interest of civility I offer an olive branch, (not to nalle, until he apologizes as he said he would without conditions) and I will attempt to keep my sarcasm in check.
If you do not like what I write about the ruling elite, and my opinions about what I think that they are up to, why not ignore me, rather than call me dumb ass names? Or better yet, why not try to have a civilized debate on the subjects at hand?
What some on here would rather do is use name calling, instead of reason. In either case, I will still state my point and my opinion.
If I talk about the CFR, which by the way I do not do so much these days, it is because in my worldview they play such a prominent role in destroying this great country and bringing her to her knees.
Nalle is chief among the offenders imo. Notice post 131 what he does:
"Next it will be the Bilderbergers and some of the other apparatus of the imaginary secret world government - perhaps the gnomes of Zurich who tend Barbarossa's immortal body where it lies hidden beneath the Zugspitz."
This is his way instead of debating, he puts down, and attempts at every opportunity to engage in condescension and ridicule. Those are the tools of his trade, which is why (among other reasons) that I treat him normally with such scorn.
196 - Dr Dreadful
[shakes head in wonder]
197 - Jet
Doc you can't possibly be that surprised at the sheer lunacy of it?
198 - Jet
Doc, Pablo is not threatened in any way, it's not like I have his mailing address or phone number so I could send the damned thing to him.
In the absence of any clear intellect he's chosen to try to deflect attention from his lack of anything resembling a view anyone could agree with by either posting 20 paragraph harangues or to scream "That fag's hitting on me-feel sorry for me!" rather than stick to the subject...
Frankly I feel sorry for him.

I think you gringos have gone WAAAAAAAAY over the top at abusing each other on Blogcritics.
The hysteria and hate is so thick they can be cut with a knife.
Even I am being abused and I:
1. don't vote in Gringolandia
2. think the candidates are both so obsessed with grabbing the power that they will say or do anything at this point
3. find the whole situation completely reprehensible since both guys are owned by Big Oil and Big Guns--who are only after B ig Bucks.
So far as I know, not one of you is on the Forbes 500 list--so you are absolutely meaningless. Taking your feelings of rage and impotency out on other folks who are no more meaningful than you are is just pitiful.
I would feel sorry for you if most of you were not so hateful.

Women's clothing isn't your bailiwick, I see.
The verticle stripes are the ones that ARE slimming.
Or maybe I am just remembering those horrifying photos from the concentration camp liberations in 1945, when folks wearing the stripes were obviously starving.
I think whoever wants to bring back the nazis had better try on those stripes to see if they feel comfortable wearing them.
Because it won't be YOU running things.
205 - zingzing
knockout punch?
ha! if only.
these two are locked in immortal battle, they are nemeses. nemesi. whatever.
someone should make an anime.
CLAVOS vs MOON aka MONSTER DRAGON MASH BALL
clavos: I WILL HAVE MY REVENGE!
moon: RARRGH! YOU DON'T DESERVE REVENGE! YOU DESERVE PITY!
moon's clothing ripS as her body swells into a giant fish/booger with penis-like tentacles and strobe effects coming out of her fisheyes.
clavos whips out his sword, which is longer than his entire body and glows green. his eyes narrow to a slit, as he too begins to expand into a robot with ridiculously large feet and hands. his insignia, a yacht with a dollar sign aboard, blazes in fire upon his chest.
clavos: LET'S DO THIS, BITCH!
moon: MISOGYNIST! RARR!
they attack, but since this is anime, it's just two cut-outs zooming left and right in some sort of fast/slow-motion hybrid for about 1/2 an hour and nothing really happens except the camera pans in on faces and hands and the like. it's real dull.
206 - moon
So was your penile presentation of clavos dull, zingzing.
Don't quit your day job.
207 - pablo
You never stop do you Jet. I know you just can't help yourself.
As if i was protesting because you might send me a fucking jockstrap in the mail. As I specified very clearly, contrary to your assertions, you sent the first punch, I sent the last.

It sure is, zing.
Maybe a better writer could have made it more interesting? :>)
Yawn.
209 - Lisa Solod Warren
Moon, Jet. Methinks it is you who don't get it.
Clav was referring to your (Moon) getting on him for hysteria and hate....when you (Moon) throw it as good as anyone.
I thought his pot calling the kettle black comment most appropriate.
Why you insist on calling me an ankle biter when you are the nippiest of the nippy, I shall never know. I tried to call a truce but you wouldn't play.
Jet and Moon, again, your reference to concentration camps has little place here...
Moon, you have made clear, over and over and over and over (ad nauseum) your distaste (nice word) for America (which you adore calling your own special pet name) and your dislike (nice word) for both candidates and have regaled us with your history of voting and non-voting. We know, we know.
Although I agree with much of your left wing politics, I find the way you yell and scream (and it is evident even on the page) grating and unpleasant.
You will probably yell back at me in ALL CAPS that I promised not to engage with you, but it seems that that is becoming improbable, if not impossible, as you seem to have no longer been banned.
When I write, it's whining (to you). When you write, it's Informed Opinion. Okay. Whatever (as the teenagers would say when they are bored with the discource).
Say what you will. But I still, as much as I disagree with Clav most of the time on just about everything, believe he delivered one hell of a knockout punch.
Take it when it comes. You can't win them all, Moon.
210 - zingzing
look! you've found your common ground! you can both hate on me in exactly the same way!
really, if you didn't think it was funny, it's only because it was insulting to you. don't take it personal. i'm not saying you have penis tentacles or yachts or anything.
surprisingly, writing is my day job. but, sadly, i don't write anime. besides, hentai is so much better.
211 - Jet
Where'd that damned gun go?
Clavos, you have connections with the NRA, have them send me one?
212 - Christopher Rose
zingzing, I thought it was hilarious!
Oh, by the way everybody, I've decided to be a little more heavy-handed with the old delete key on the personal remarks front until I get somewhat less bored by all this niggling than I am right now - or maybe even until US election day when maybe some of this tension will finally get spent. I'd appreciate it if you would all make that as little work as possible and apologise in advance for spoiling your fun.
213 - moon
"I thought his pot calling the kettle black comment most appropriate."
Maybe the first time of the thousands of times he used that old cliche it MIGHT have been appropriate.
Now it's just the same old same old scream for attention.
This poster believes that the concentration camp reference was VERY appropriate, given the level of hate being blasted around in the election campaign--and on this blogsite.
More to the point, Gringolandia is DOWN--just like Germany was DOWN after the Versailles Treaty.
And the gringos did it to THEMSELVES by giving carte blanche to the scoundrels and crooks and scumbags of Wall Street and the White House to:
1. conduct disastrous wars that have killed more than a million people during this adminstration--most of them women, children and old people--which have only benefited Dick Cheney and his compinches,
2. put the economy of YOUR country in the toilet--and due to the globalization of gringo greed and pillage, many economies of other countries as well (including the one I live in, Mexico),
3. destroy the environment (and the future) of the planet by pursuing Big Bucks for a FEW people in the mistaken belief that topping the food chain means humans are the superior species.
And because the US/Gringolandia/Whatever (I don't accept America, as there are other countries in America, and United States is meaningless, as Mexico is also the United States of Mexico) is DOWN, there is a climate of mass hysteria that reminds this poster VERY much of the Nuremberg (I don't CARE how it is spelled) rallies.
I believe there are very FEW among you, the folks posting here, who would not scream and tear your hair and cheer if a Gringo version of Hitler presented himself to "make Gringolandia great again".
Fortunately for the rest of the world, that person has not appeared.
There is only a mulato trying to shatter the glass ceiling imposed by white men against people of color and women (the same one Hilary Clinton tried to shatter and shot herself in the foot attempting) and
a Professional Geezer.

Dave re 138,
I cannot help but notice how you love to ignore a direct question when asked. So again allow me to repeat myself.
-------------
You love to make fun of conspiracy theories. I have no problem with that per se. However I made a point to you months and months ago, which you still have not addressed.
That is that you too are a conspiracy theorist. 9/11 was a conspiracy, that is a fact. More than one person planned and carried out a murderous attack.
You happen to subscribe to the official conspiracy theory, I do not. Instead of having different theories and debating them, or not, you accuse me of being something that you are too. Which quite frankly is dumb, and shows your fear and ignorance in spades.
Unless you were one of the conspirators on that day, you in point of fact, do not know what really happened. You can say that you do, but you would be lying. You have taken all the available information and digested it, as we all have. You came up with the conspiracy theory that the official government story is true. I reject that theory, however I am at least humble enough, and dare I say ignorant enough to say that I do now know to this day who actually planned and carried out the attack.
So there we have it. You have a conspiracy theory that you say happened a certain way 9/11. I say I do not know, but I firmly reject for literally hundreds of reasons the official story.
I wonder Dave, if you will ever be man enough to admit that you too are a conspiracy theorist. The day that you do, (I doubt that day will ever come) is the day that your mind will blossom instead of being as closed up and rigid as it is.
Are you ready to admit that you too are a conspiracy theorist Dave? If an when you do, you can no longer rely on your disparaging argument concerning 9/11 and then and only then perhaps we can have a civilized discussion about it.
On a side note, I want to thank you once again about your comments about the CFR/Bilderberg Group.
I will start to write on here alot more about it, now that you have reminded me about your interest in it. Thanks again.

Right back to ya pablo. The basic nature of what I have seen you write over the past year, had me thinking you and I were two people who “might” be able to agree on the time of day.
The question now becomes what have we found in common. There are three political mountians out there. Are we climbing up the same political mountian yet we are on different sides, and expressing ourselves differtly in how where’re experiencing the difficulties of the climb, and how to handle the obstacles in our way? I don't know.
In either event - I will have you know that I am glade we made a intellectually honest connection and got out from under all the keeps us from it. I look forward to discussion/debate with you on this and hopefully other issues as well.
As I mentioned, it has been a few years since I read the book. I’ll see if I can get through it again in the next few weeks and make some notes.

Franko,
Thanks again for your comments, it is indeed refreshing for me, finding a kindred spirit as it were on this blog site. I also noticed that you were the only one on this blog to mention/link to Stephen Spoonamore, and his amazing revelations concerning Diebold Voting Machines, and how it is his expert opinion that these machines were designed to steal elections. I wonder if Nalle would ever care to comment about him. Methinks not.
Are you familiar with Bev Harris of blackboxvoting.org? IMO another excellent resource on voting problems.
I just watched an amazing video that I would like to share with you, and anyone else who might be interested. This is a video by a 93 years old Englishman, named Harry Beckhough, who is an author of some note, and was a codebreaker in WW2. I think you might enjoy it, as he goes into some of the intricacies of Europe old and new politically. I found him to be very refreshing and quite an astute old geezer.
