So even Bush's puppet, former CIA operative turned Prime Minster of Iraq has had enough of painting a rosy picture of the situation in Iraq.
Allawi Blames Ambush on'Great Negligence'
Iraq's interim prime minister blamed the U.S.-led coalition Tuesday for "great negligence" in the ambush that killed about 50 soldiers heading home after graduation from a U.S.-run training course, and warned of an escalation of terrorist attacks.
This is very surprising that he spoke up and criticized the Coallition. When he was in the states, he was on a very short leash biving sound bites to the Bush campaign.
Maybe he has seen enough Iraqi's die because there are not enough troops on the ground?
Maybe he figures he better speak up now as he is only going to be heard for a couple more months with the elections supposed to take place in January?
Maybe he is banking on the fact that Bush is going to lose?
Interesting to say the least. I wonder if the "right track, wrong track" that Dubya quoted is still better in Iraq than in the U.S.?

Domestic Iraqi politics may be playing a part. Chalabi started his anti-Americanism as the hand-over approached to try to develop a following.
Allawi may see a similar need as the election gets closer.
As to his US visit, many thought his speech was as good as any written by
Bush's speech writers - those Iraqi writers must be really good :-)
