I started out to write an article about an ominous attack on Second Amendment rights which took place here in Austin recently, but on viewing videos of the subsequent protest at city hall as part of my research I got sidetracked with more overwhelming evidence that Alex Jones is a narcissistic douchebag and really no friend of liberty, facts which I have observed before but which just become clearer with each new incident.
Earnest and passionate local advocates for individual liberty led by John Bush of Texans for Accountable Government organized a peaceful protest rally on Monday afternoon in opposition to the Austin Police Department's involvement with the BATF in attempts to illegally shut down private gun sales at gun shows in Austin. They had a good turnout and a schedule of speakers including Darwin Bedecker, who was the most recent target of this persecution campaign, and notable local liberty advocates like Jerri Lynn Ward and Catherine Bleish. It was organized on short notice, but it was a well-planned and effective rally presenting a legitimate grievance to the city government with a permit and everything.
Then, in the middle of it all, Alex Jones shows up with a bullhorn and what can only be described as a gang of thugs, and proceeds to disrupt the entire rally, shouting over the speakers, shutting down the program, and ultimately driving off most of the participants with his obnoxious antics. Not only that, but Jones was rude to everyone, including those who tried to invite him to become a program participant, called Catherine Bleish a "cointelpro" agent provocateur and ranted on and on about the NWO and various issues completely unrelated to the purpose of the protest, while surrounded by his personal videographers and thuglike followers.

Ooooh boy.
You are a glutton for punishment, aren't you, Dave?
2 - Ruvy
Aw, poor baby. A loudmouthed media hound ruined the demonstration of the righteous. Tut tut. He should be slapped!
Jones may stink like a skunk - and in this article, he does. But he calls an awful lot of things accurately - sometimes long before they happen. And he knows who to ask, as well.

Boy oh boy.
I can't wait for Pablo to get hold of this article. It's a direct attack on his idol.
Let the fireworks begin!
4 - Baronius
I still think that Alex Jones and Rachel Maddow are figments of BC writers' imaginations.
5 - Knute Sakk
Alex Jones has the popularity and weight to do such stunts and he does it on our behalf, the crybabys who are whining in these videos cannot express their opinions any better than Mr. Jones, and Mr. Jones still does it better than them. Not only that but Mr. Jones was the one person who had Darwin on his show and made thousands of people aware of what was going on. Face it, Alex can reach a lot more people than some disgruntled zit faced college kid any day of the week. You don't have to like Alex, but know that he is defending your freedoms the only way he knows how. And for people who claim he was trying to instigate violence, you obviously do not listen to Alex as he is opposed to such strategy less it be a last resort.

Dave -
Jones clearly has Narcissistic Personality Disorder and has all the earmarks of a little Hitler in the making and that type doesn't like to be left on the sidelines.
Wasn't it YOU who castigated me for breaking "Godwin's Law"? Yes, it was, even though in my article I specifically said that I was not comparing the Republicans to the Nazis. After your efforts to show me just how wrong I was, I told you in that thread that your accusation against me would come back to haunt you.
See, that's the thing about telling other people how wrong they are for doing this or that...because when YOU wind up doing that very same 'this or that', it makes you look like a hypocrite, and it shows the person you attacked that you really didn't give a tinker's damn about "Godwin's Law" - you just wanted to shut him up.
This is further exacerbated by you referring to the Obama Administration as treasonous saboteurs, accusing them of deliberately sabotaging the American economy...never mind that you had not the least shred of proof to support your accusation. And when this was pointed out to you, did you give that tinker's damn that your accusations were completely groundless? No, you didn't.
Worst of all, you apparently don't see what's wrong with what you did. That, sir, is what SHOULD concern you most of all.
About twelve years ago a guy who worked for me DID have Narcissistic Personality Disorder. One of the symptoms was his tendency to accuse others of anything - anything at all - that would get them out of his way...but he would see absolutely nothing wrong about doing exactly what he was accusing the others of doing. This particular symptom is often indicative of other disorders too - but he did have NAD.
Do you have NAD? No, I doubt it - for those who do have it tend to be highly charismatic. But you have certainly shown a tendency to castigate others for something you do yourself. That should concern you greatly.

I should also add that it is funny that the person who wrote this article can openly call Alex a 'douchebag' but per this site 'Personal attacks are not allowed' Remember friend, "when we sling mud, we lose ground".

For the 358,796,221,400,723,484,052,126th time...
This site's personal attack policy refers to attacks on OTHER SITE USERS, not public figures.
(This has been a recorded announcement...)
9 - Baronius
Dread, could someone please put that in the Comments Policy?

I've asked, Baronius... :-(

From comment #6, it's finally clear. Glenn's only real problem with Dave Nalle is
wait for it
hang in there...
here it comes;
Yes folks, you guessed it! It's Dave himself! Not ideology, not principle, nor Dem versus Rep -- nope Glenn just can't abide Dave Nalle -- period.

Knute Sakk (cute handle),
As doc pointed out, the no personal attacks policy is directed at preventing attacks on other commenters or authors, not public figures.
Public figures are fair game, which is only right, since most of 'em are, in fact, douche bags.
13 - roger nowosielski
Well, Dave has become the personification of all those vices - hence, a ready-made target.
14 - roger nowosielski
And since most of them are douche bags, it's no longer an insulting term. In fact, it's quite mellow.
15 - jlailman
Alex Jones may be a bit obnoxious but let's face it, he IS THE MAN when it comes to fighting the NWO wherever they show themselves. Also, the only reason 90% of those people who showed up for the rally were there because of Alex Jones. Get a clue...Alex is the leader and you are an inkspot on my tie.
16 - roger nowosielski
jlailan, meet Pablo.
17 - Dr Dreadful
Alex is the leader and you are an inkspot on my tie.
Ties are a symbol of bondage to the New World Order.
You stooge.
18 - roger nowosielski
I thought it was a pin-stripe suite.

Would you like me to start attacking people on this site with hate speech? I'd be more than happy to sink to that level. But if we stick to the article and what it's author conveys, the truth remains clear. No-Name Smith will not have his opinion voiced, but someone with popularity like Alex will. When it comes down to it, Alex was in the right for standing up against this unconstitutional tyranny. The author of this article has little to argue with that. If you want to resort to name-calling start with Clinton, then Bush, then Obama, and how gun laws have been treated with those administrations respectively. Quite frankly I am a gun owner, registered federally because I live in a state that requires it, it is a non issue for now, however; the moment that someone asks me to give it up [my guns] they have another problem on their hands. Utilize your 2nd amendment right because that is your #1 defense against tyranny, if you refuse then the bread line was made for you. But ask yourself this; where did the bread come from, is there enough bread for everyone, and what rights must you concede to get that bread? Again Alex is in the right, fighting for your rights, if you don't believe me then start looking at FEMA, the shadow government, and GMO foods. The average American's best interest is not at heart. Look up eugenics, the Georgia Guidestones, or 'Whatsonmyfood'.com We are being attacked at all angles, and for the ignorant that is fine, but for the informed it is B.S. Lucky form you to b the latter than the former. Wake Up! Wake Up! WAKE UP!

I like alex's new hitler haircut. Truth in advertising.

You mean he reminds you of Hank Bauer?

It's not Dave that I can't stand. It's hypocrisy. If Dave would not do what he castigates others for doing, then I'd be attacking him much, much less. He attacked me for violating "Godwin's Law" (which I'd never heard of at the time)...and in this article he's not only doing the same thing, but he's doing it to a greater degree than I did!
And it's not just Dave. Anyone whom I see doing the same kind of thing can receive the same kind of attack from me. AND if I commit the same kind of hypocrisy, I heartily invite everyone - you and Dave included - to gleefully point it out to all and sundry...and I'll grab out the Tabasco and have myself a heaping helping of crow.
23 - walt
Dave should have shown a bit of respect for others. How would he react if this was done to him?
He should have joined in the rally WITH them instead of against them. He was being an ass.
24 - roger nowosielski
I do agree with you, Walt. Just because public figures are exempt from BC comment policy, it doesn't mean we should freely engage in name-calling.
It does display a certain lack of etiquette, not to mention a lazy quality of mind whereby the person is being attacked rather than their ideas.
25 - Baronius
If the last line of defense for legal gun ownership is the popularity of Alvin Jones, then I'm going to the National Archives with Wite-out.
