Clavos,
Spending America into a hole is precisely what Clinton didn't do. Blowjobs and all, he did the one of most basic things a leader has to do for his country - make it more solvent.
He had a good economy to work with that collapsed just as he left. Would Gore have followed Clinton's lead or would he have just written blank checks against the future, as Bush has. That is a fair question.
Clinton didn't do such a hot job protecting the country's security - but at least he wasn't beholden to the bin laden family, as is your brave leader today.

American presidents are sworn to protect the American constitution, not the people. Read the damned document, JOM! The oath of office in comntained within.
When I voted for Clinton and for Gore, I was not a citizen of Israel and generally did not take into account the interests of the Jewish State. Had I, I would have stayed home.
When writing to America in 2004, I recommended Jews to go out and vote - and to not vote for the president at all. Neither Kerry nor Bush would do Israel any good and I was reasonably sure that the Republicans would maintain control of the congress, making it impossibe for Kerry to avoid the pathetic deficit spending of his immediate predecessor. This meant that Kerry wouldn't do America any good, either.
My co-religionists didn't listen, but that is no surprise.

You are correct but compared to EGores approval rating 0% - remember he lost the election...and ratther than take positions - war, peace, security, healthcare, economy...he hides behind mad3e up envirnmental issues where he can rantr and rave but not be accountable for anything...I would have some respect for Egore if would produced a movie and rallied behind some real issues...again he has taken a stand where we can skate by without being held accountable...on the other hand bush has proven to be a leader and taken responsibility for the hard issues
JOM your alternate reality is so screwed it's laughable. Gore lost to bush by a virtual tie so close that the Supreme court had to put Bush in office. That put's his approval rating at 50 percent-which higher than Bush at 32 percent.
Just keep ignoring reality and keep that pirate patch over your left eye so you can't use both sides of your brain.
I get embarrassed for our country every time I hear United States and U-nited States used in the same sentence because he can't make up his mind how to pronounce it. I get embarrased for us when Bush begins stammering like a REtard through a speech or worse when he OFTEN seems to forget what he's saying half way through a sentence. I cringe every time he used the word evildoer.
When Americans don't vote they get the president they deserve and we sure as hell did!

the left... or, let's just say me... i am intolerant of selfishness and discrimination based on a lack of empathy for your fellow man. i find it disgusting.
but why don't you answer the question? defend yourself. i want to understand. i'm tired of getting angry at something that i truly cannot fathom... i can't see how you get the idea that you are worth more than anyone else. help me out here. I WANT TO KNOW.

Well it started when my Grandparents landed in America to leave the shit hole where the grew up..My grandfather joined the service to fast track his citizenship..learned english ..and bragged that he was an American...working his ass off with 2 jobs he managed to buy house and raise a familiy...my father did the same working
2 jobs to move us out the emerging third world of Brooklyn...we did the cub scouts and boy scouts...im an eagle scout.. my mom worked FULL time to pay for me and my siblings college education...you see sing if you are white with an family of 5 making under 45K a year there are no special programs or quotas...you have to work and earn it...put myself through an MBA...now I am married with children. Own my own business..
Every day I see the US dumbing down the requirements for school and business...just to be "fair"...schools forcing parents to be "politacal correct" so johhny wont have his feelings hurt...its a crock of shit...hey its america..I dont have to like you but I do have to tolerate you..is that wrong?
You should answer the same question how the hell did you get to believe what you believe? Was it the incident at camp? Did you grow up with out a Daddy? Or are you still trying to figure out who he is? Did that sting a little ...BOY.....

I have the advantage of actually having known and worked for Gore, so I have more of an insight into his abilities. He's very distant and rather peculiar, but he's basically pretty intelligent. Not necessarily a genius, but he makes an effort to think outside the lockbox, as it were.
That said, I didn't vote for him in 2000. I didn't see him as being significantly better than Bush at that time. In retrospect I might have voted for him, but I doubt we'd be at all better off now if he'd won. The economy would likely be in worse shape and we'd be involved in the war on terror in one way or another no matter what.

In addition Dave...hmmm lacking people skills...you cannot lead a country without have basic people skilss which EGore does not...I not sure where you can support that Egore is so smart...he hasn proven it to the majority of Americans or his own party...
151 - JustOneMan
Ruvy...
So you are saying its ok to support the mid-east Israeli regime change for the past 40 years or so but not the Iraqi regime change? Please explain the difference?
152 - Ruvy in Jerusalem
Clavos,
Spending America into a hole is precisely what Clinton didn't do.
153 - Ruvy in Jerusalem

Finally, JOM, read my article on Blog Critics, "Dependence Day" - and read through to comment 11. There you will understand my point of view. It'll piss you off even more, but that's okay.
155 - JustOneMan
Ruvy...my position is that we are a "people of laws" embodied by the Constitution! Enough of your sidestepping and promoting of your meandering posts...please answer the question...
So you are saying its ok to support the mid-east Israeli regime change for the past 40 years or so but not the Iraqi regime change? Please explain the difference?

JOM-"you cannot lead a country without have basic people skilss which EGore does not...I not sure where you can support that Egore is so smart...he hasn proven it to the majority of Americans or his own party"
Neither has Bush at 32 percent approval rating!
157 - JustOneMan
You are correct but compared to EGores approval rating 0% - remember he lost the election...and ratther than take positions - war, peace, security, healthcare, economy...he hides behind mad3e up envirnmental issues where he can rantr and rave but not be accountable for anything...I would have some respect for Egore if would produced a movie and rallied behind some real issues...again he has taken a stand where we can skate by without being held accountable...on the other hand bush has proven to be a leader and taken responsibility for the hard issues
158 - Jet in Columbus
159 - Arch Conservative
Tsk... tsk... tsk
SO much talk about a man who tried to steal an election and will never be president. There must be better topics to discuss.
160 - JustOneMan
Please just to remind you what the Eco-idiot savant said when had political power...
"A low voter turnout is an indication of fewer people going to the polls." -- Vice President Al Gore
"I was recently on a tour of Latin America, and the only regret I have was that I didn't study Latin harder in school so I could converse with those people." -- Al Gore
"If we don't succeed, we run the risk of failure." -- Al Gore
"Democrats understand the importance of bondage between a mother and child." -- Vice President Al Gore
"Verbosity leads to unclear, inarticulate things." -- Vice President Al Gore, 11/30/96
"I have made good judgments in the past. I have made good judgments in the future." -- Vice President Al Gore
"I stand by all the misstatements that I've made." -- Vice President Al Gore to Sam Donaldson, 8/17/93
"For NASA, space is still a high priority." -- Vice President Al Gore, 9/5/93
"It isn't pollution that's harming the environment. It's the impurities in our air and water that are doing it." -- Vice President Al Gore
NEED I SAY MORE!!!!!
161 - Ruvy in Jerusalem
JOM,
I do not have time to rewrite all that I wrote elsewhere. Your answer will be found in that article and my comments there, particularly comment #11.
And now I must get off the computer for two days. This evening is the holiday Shavuót and then there is the sabbath. That's at least 50 hours.
162 - Jet in Columbus
For a rebuttal of 160 watch any episode of the David Letterman Show for "Great Moments of Presidential speeches" and wantch Bush stutter, stammer, loose track, and make a fool of himself.
I KNOW you don't want me to start posting Bushit quotes here do you?
I don't want to have a battle of whits with an unarmed man.
163 - zingzing
you know, reading these comments, especially by justoneman (think up a new name... something not so... nevermind) and archie and others... they make me wonder about conservatives. i could see how someone could hold one or two strange positions on something. maybe daddy hit you too hard a couple of times... maybe you were raped by an immigrant or something... but, i just don't know how people can ever be so selfish and hateful to despise gay people, immigrants, the environment, muslims, europe, the rest of mankind... i can't figure out a reason why... is it "just 'cause?" how is it that so many people can have such... cookie-cutter... i guess selfish is the only word. who's the moron who says that segregation is a good thing? my god... "if it ain't white and it ain't american and it don't agree with me, i fuckin hate it and want to shoot it with my gun." whatever. just a question. what's the question? why? how? what?
164 - Jet in Columbus
Easy Zing, they're writing toward imaginary fan clubs!
165 - zingzing
no they aren't jet. that's the problem. where do people get ideas like this? why is it so popular to be a selfish dick? i just don't get it... someone help me understand. where is the motivation for being a conservative? does it make you feel good to shut out the rest of the world? to only care about yourself?
you see liberals/leftists/democrats as having some sort of fake-sympathy which we use to exploit people... maybe some l/l/d's to that shit, i dunno. i'm in no position to exploit anyone, and i wouldn't want to if i could. i think it's some sort of reflection of conservatives that they would accuse people of this kind of shit. maybe i'm wrong.
here's my question(s) to conservatives... what is so attractive to you about being conservative? what good does it do anybody to hold your views? where did you get them?
166 - JustOneMan
hmmm... I dont get you guys..all I do is post the truth...real quotes from Egore and you start to try and paint people as "hate mongers" "queer bashers" etc.
It is obvious that you when you have no platform or answers to todays complex problems you resort to mud slinging and name calling. But guess what the liberal left has actual become the intoloerant voice of America... if you dont support gay marraige or oppressive welfare programs, discrimiatory quota systems you are shouted down...
The left has become no more tolerant than the KKK and Nazi party.
167 - zingzing
i'm not talking about posting silly gore quotes. big truth there. yip, eee. i'm talking about most of the other shit you have to say. you know it best, you said it. yes, you should be shouted down if you don't support equal rights for gay people, because they are human beings and they deserve it. welfare and quota programs are up for debate. they've got their good points and their bad points. i think you should put yourself in someone else's shoes, white bread, then think about how you would feel about those programs. and when did welfare oppress you? when you paid your taxes? how much do you have to pay to help millions of people? um, couple bucks a month? oooo. spare me.
the left... or, let's just say me... i am intolerant of selfishness and discrimination based on a lack of empathy for your fellow man. i find it disgusting.
but why don't you answer the question? defend yourself. i want to understand. i'm tired of getting angry at something that i truly cannot fathom... i can't see how you get the idea that you are worth more than anyone else. help me out here. I WANT TO KNOW.
168 - JustOneMan
Zing....
"white bread" hmm let me add racist to the list describing you...
Why do you assume I am white? Hmmm
Where did I get my views..
So there is my story...
169 - zingzing
haven't read your full statement yet, but yeah, you're white. you've said as much several times. i'm white too. so, holy racism! white bread. it's funny. leave it alone.
170 - zingzing
i don't want a personal history. christ.
i want to know why you feel that protecting the environment is a waste of time? why a gay man shouldn't be able to visit his dying lover in the hospital? why you don't care about the plight of the poor, even though you came from it? is it because you didn't get enough help back when? is it because it doesn't affect you personally? effect? affect? hmmph.
yes, you should be tolerant of people who are different than you are. that's not a crock of shit. and yes, it is wrong not to be tolerant of other people.
i don't know how i got to be so liberal... maybe because i was born human? it just seems fair that you don't deny someone something just because you don't appreciate it, whether you are entitled to it or not. and you definitely don't screw over large portions of the population out of jealousy. try again.
171 - JustOneMan
News Alert - LIBERALS CAN BE RACISTS
172 - zingzing
did you call me "boy?"
173 - zingzing
come on... get on with it.
174 - JustOneMan
ZING ..chill out...did you see what you just wrote!
i don't know how i got to be so liberal... maybe because i was born human?
Are you saying that people who dont agree with you are not Human!!! So much for tolerance...how come you are not tolerate with those that dont agree with you!
175 - Dave Nalle
.I not sure where you can support that Egore is so smart...he hasn proven it to the majority of Americans or his own party...
