Actually, it looks like O'Reilly rules Philly.

You might try a spell checker when you write. There are several misspellings though especially grating were your poor references to biblical quotes; Commandments begin with "Thou", and not "Though". FYI, for future writing, quotes can be Googled (to ensure accuracy). Otherwise, this was well written and included some interesting, if not enticing information.

Since THOUGH is a word, spell-check will not catch that as an error. If Bill Gates can create a program that can anticipate what we MEAN to say, that will be a feat indeed.

As a European lefty from an apparently failing liberal country according to some posts above (strange our country couldn’t be doing better economically) oh and just so you know its Britain. I don’t really understand how you can compare Air America to Rush in the ratings. Air America has only been on the radio for just over a year and has grown to what? 67 stations in that time, its ratings are very impressive for such a small amount of time, you have to remember Rush has been on for what 15years or more. It will take a while for AAR to catch-up but from what I've heard it’s a very impressive format with generally, but not always unbiased news reports. I listened to Rush and I could not believe the utter rubbish he was spewing, I’m so glad that our laws in this country don’t allow for such biased filth to be spewed out to the population. If it’s not fair and balanced it’s not allowed, (and that means presenting both side equally) and for the most part AAR seams to achieve a fairly balanced view from a wide range of sources (you should never rely on one source). As an aside I’m not that fond of Franken the morning sedition and Rhandi Rhodes programs are much better. Oh and over here we fully blame your president for dragging us into a war that was for his and his friend’s financial gain i.e. Chaney and Halliburton spring to mind, (120000 Iraqi civilians, 1800 U.S. troops and around 200 UK troops dead and that since the so called end of the war!) and that has made us the target of terrorists. We never supported the war and we still don’t our government stupidly followed yours and I suggest you read the Downing Street memo (you may learn something shock horror) which Rush to my knowledge has never mentioned while AAR hasn’t shut up about!! As far as I can tell Rush is demagogue of the neo-fascist zombie brigade of the extreme far right who have vilely perverted Christianity in the same way that extremists such as Bin Laden have perverted Islam. I’m just glad that air America is going from strength to strength and while it may not be quite a match yet for Rush and his like yet, in 5years or so they may just.

very good point from our british friend. As someone who has listened to Air America Radio since its launch...I can tell you about the difference I've seen/heard in the program's reach. My favorite hosts are Randi Rhodes and Al Franken. Randi does an amazing job of educating her listeners and tries to be patient with her neo-con callers as well. I have learned so much from her show....and why did I bother to listen? Because one of the first times I listened to her show I heard her say that she won't push so-called rumors on her show unless she has more than one reliable source. Limbaugh never has real sources...it's just crud that he spews out of his own evil brain. Anyway..her straightforward and intelligent (radio only smarter) approach has lots of saddened republicans tuning in to hear the truth. last year's gop callers were really hateful and not willing to listen...since traitorgate has begun lots of them are calling in and letting her know that they're ashamed about what is happening in the white house....BUT...they are grasping for something to say that makes them feel better so they tell her she shouldn't say that GW is an idiot because that's not nice. However...she easily gives them a litany of all the things that prove he's really NOT smart and the callers are speechless. anyway...checkout her show...i won't be surprised if she is the one that out scores limbaugh. i know she has a huge following in florida so those numbers are absolutely believable.

btw...i listen online from east tennessee where we don't have a radio station....yet....AAR has just added 2 louisiana stations though so maybe we'll get one...i know that i bump into plenty of people in tennessee who listen online and those numbers are hard to track to provide total listeners. i take the podcasts with me in the car so that i never miss a word of the Randi Rhodes show.

Much ado about nothing. The TV news on the major networks have an overwhelmingly liberal, demonstrable, quantifiable liberal bias. When this happens on talk radio, liberals try to invoke the Fairness Doctrine. Give the doctrine a decent burial, it no longer has any relevance. The tactic is to cut into conservative talk shows. If you do not agree with what the conservative talk show people say, THAT is what the on/off button is for. Also, there are alternative, reliable news sources. If there is any justice to the misapplication of the Fairness Doctrine, it is the refusal to date of Clinton, Obama and Edwards to "debate" on Fox. How hypocritical can they get? They want a level playing field, so long as it is tilted strongly to the left. Besides, they do not want to debate issues, they want a protected forum to obfuscate their shifting postions.

What does the Fairness Doctrine have to do with Rush Limbaugh's dodging the draft during Vietnam; or his illegal purchasing of Black Market drugs like Oxycontin?

Nothing at all, MCH. Which is why your last comment is completely off topic.

Try searching "Limbaugh+gay" on Google. No wonder he's failed three times at marriage, and Mr. Family Values has no children. Does he ever go to church?

AS ALWAYS PLEASE DONT CONFUSE LIBS WITH FACTS. IT'S UNFAIR.
