Liberal talk radio hosts, including the new liberal talk network, Air America Radio, trended ahead of Rush Limbaugh in key Florida demographics.
Advance trend numbers for spring radio ratings in the Miami market, leaked to the website RAW STORY, reveal that liberal talk posted giant gains against the, once-powerhouse, now oxycontin-addicted hypocrite Rush Limbaugh. The Ed Schultz show passed Limbaugh among the 25-54 age range in the nation's twelfth largest radio market. Schultz scored a 3.4 rating to Limbaugh's 3.2, climbing 1.1 ratings points from the winter figures.
“In his own backyard, how can Limbaugh lose to a liberal talker? What am I doing with a 3.4 and he’s sitting with a 3.2?” Schultz asked RAW STORY in a telephone interview this morning. “We’ve coming a long way from being the poor little guy from North Dakota.” Al Franken, whose Air America program runs head-on with Rush in the noon to 3 p.m. slot, also made strides, posting 2.1 ratings among 25-64, up from 1.5 in the winter. The two programs posted gains in every single age category.
These trends show what has been obvious to many Americans. Regressives like the GOP and their right-wing allies are becoming personally offensive to many Americans and a relic of the past. Most of these right wing talkers are such hypocrites there is little value in listening to their opinion. People like Rush Limbaugh, who once posited that talented African American NFL player Donovan McNabb was only a starting quarterback because of his color, pretends to reach out to people of color on behalf of the GOP with the likes of radical, anti-civil rights quack Jesse Lee Peterson. Moreover, Rush Limbaugh, who does not believe in a right to privacy, underwent a huge flip-flop suing all the way to the Supreme Court to protect his right to privacy in a costly and failed frivolous litigation to apparently try and conceal evidence of his doctor-shopping from prosecutors.
Bill O'Reilly claims to espouse moral values while sexually harrasing his underlings when the camera is turned off or making indecent propositions to porn star Jenna Jameson when he thinks noone will find out. The moral values talkers like Pat Robertson and James Dobson spit on the bible while lining up to back thugs under criminal investigation, like Tom Delay, Karl Rove, Ralph Reed, and Randy "Duke" Cunningham, simply because it will help advance the GOP agenda ahead of any biblical commands that "though shall not steal" or "though shall not bear false witness." Thus, the right-wing has shown that the GOP agenda is much more important to them than biblical commandments, the US Constitution, or the well-being of the American people.

Either way, seeing the recent shitstorm stirred up over recent allegations of drug abuse levelled a celebrity here on this site, I'd be more careful or writing things like that. Especially in News posts that get picked up by Google News.

Hell, people in Miami could be picking Limbaugh up from any of several stations that reach that area and carry him. Did Schultz beat the combined rating for Limbaugh of all the area stations, or just one. Even without seeing the data I can answer that one pretty easily...

b-shooz, a few things: I appreciate the energy level, but this is clearly an Opinion piece. Also, such a slew of accusations have to be somehow substantiated. You can't just say "Karl Rove and Matt Drudge are gay because I say so." You can give our opinion on jus about anything, but you can't state as fact that which cannot be substantiated.
Finally, I am quite certain that the left wing is no more in tune with America than the right wing: the wings are out of touch, it's the body in the center that holds them together

Who cares of Karl Rove or Matt Drudge or Ken Mehlman are gay? I fully believe that they are and like all but a tiny minority of extremists, I don't really care. I know more gay Republicans than gay Democrats. The top levels of the GOP are just chock full of gay people. So what?

MY point is that it doesn't matter how many folks make a claim - nor does it matter what party they belong to. "So-and-so said so" does not constitute proof, or even valid evidence.
When you couple such a claim with an obviously-adulterated image (I've seen this photo with like 10 different heads pasted onto it now), your argument flies out the window.
By the way, Brad Blog starts their hit-piece on Drudge with the words, "Sure, it's just a rumor." Look for balletshooz to edit his/her piece YET AGAIN, to CYA from that.

what are you some kind of english teacher on crack? Matt Drudge has admitted publicly that he is a homo or at least admitted he has ties to homosexuality. His love letters to ex boyfriends have become public knowledge and he has never denied their authenticity. his public comments confirm he is gay. why are you spreading lies for the right wing?
