"I spoke in anger and I was wrong.
In that I left the '93 bombing of the WTC out when I claimed we hadn't been attacked on our soil since WWII."
No problem.
"As to the main aim of this post, conservatives trying to lick their wounds by blaming Clinton for the attack that happened on GW's watch.
That is exactly what your doing."
Much of the intel failures happened on Clinton's watch. This wasn't an event conceived, planned, prep'd, funded, etc solely on Bush's watch.
"No one who doesn't listen to Limbaugh takes your claims seriously."
I don't listen to Limbaugh. Or any of the other AM radio talking head entertainers. Keep that in mind next time you want to paint with a broad brush.

It is all gonna fall back in Clinton's lap, be careful you don't hit Monica!

You seem to assume the only purpose these creeps had on our soil was an attack.
Atta was running with some dirty folks well before the attack- much more to the story than terrorism.
Check out Daniel Hopsicker's site:
http://www.madcowprod.com
for some background on the shenanigans in Venice.
There is much evidence of Atta's fun with the big boy drug runners.
Funny how folks like to forget that opium is one of Afghanistan's largest exports.
Oh well, not the first time the truth was shielded in the so-called "war on drugs."

That is some good reading, Bob. It would be a bit easier to follow along if you break it into paragraphs.
Just a suggestion!
Please carry on.

What actually surprises me is that anyone would put any credibility in what any politician says, especially!!!! after someone screws up. The government of this country does not want to wake the sleeping giant of the american public, what better way then to keep ramming those raises and perks though. Stripping away our social programs, education programs, to line their parasitic pockets. The way greed is and the fact that any politicain can steal from the public trough unconcerned for the consequences doesn't help. Instead of being too busy lying and lining their pockets they should look around and see what is going on. I am afraid for this country, I think 911 was just a taste of what is to come in the future. If you want to really steal from the public, use drugs, pay for hookers, and put in a new raise for you and your cronies get the public distracted with a commission that lies as much as you do. Then get their anger focused on outsiders while you slip your hand in. The government failed the people, they were asleep at the switch. Or they just don't give a dam about your sons or daughters as long as they can keep spending. Most people don't realise how much they are manipulated and fed whatever the administration wants you to believe. Eyes wide open folks!

"It is all gonna fall back in Clinton's lap, be careful you don't hit Monica!"
heres a good example of how republicans are bankrupt in the war of ideas. a personal sexual affair that had no relevance is tacked on to every assertion as the reason that something happened, i.e. 9-11 or so on.
that is the weakest thing ive ever seen and republicans should be embarrased personally for asserting such nonsense and as a party.
32 - Dave Nalle
True, Billy. The Lewinski affair is completely irrelevant to this or any other meaningful political issue. Those who trot it out over and over again are rather like the Democrats who complain about 'no WMDs' or 'Bush is a Deserter' which are equally irrelevant and bankrupt ploys to misdirect from the real, pertinent issues.
Dave

you are right, kind of. "bush deserter" is not relevant in much the same vein, b/c bush isnt being called on to fight. but "no wmd" id have to beg to differ, that one may be relevant regarding how this nation was brought to war.

Truer words were never spoken.
PS: I hope you had an editor for your "books" -- 'cause you coulda used one here.
PPS: That photo is the most lame thing I've ever seen -- well, that and the cover art to "Mystery & Mirth".

Shark,
Leave the cover of "Mystery & Mirth" alone, you nasty man.

>>that one may be relevant regarding how this nation was brought to war.<<
Yes, but not in the many other contexts in which people like Shark like to just throw it out as an essentially meaningless swear word.

The USA is not going to make it much longer. Our "big press" is covering up this story and many Americans simply do not care about anything other than "reality shows".
The Bush haters do not want anything to come out about the Clinton Admin for legacy and Mrs. Clinton's Presidential try. If only this were about Bush it would be Headlines.
Able Danger took place during the Clinton Admin; the destruction of twin towers and at the Pentagon was planned during the Clinton Admin but all you hear is about the 9-11 Commission.
Pontificating talking heads and political insiders want this to be about talk. It is, about death. Ours.

Don't count out the USA so soon. In the 1930s, both the far-right fascists and the far-left communists of the world thought the United States was so decadent and weak it would soon fall. Events from 1941-1945 proved America much stronger than its enemies had believed.
When South Vietnam fell, many in both the western world and the communist world thought it was another domino in the process that would end with toppling the United States. Yet at the end of that process, it was communism that collapsed in almost every country it had dominated for decades.
The key to victory and survival in the current global conflict is not for us to decide which of our own citizens to blame for every single thing that goes wrong, and making them pay. In fact, that kind of internal struggle has the potential to weaken our resolve. Our refusal to turn either Clinton or Bush into a scapegoat for the 9/11 attacks is quite possibly a good sign of our continuing vigor and strength.

Delphene Dear; You appear to detest all politicians, is this true?
Yes, many do steal, cheat, and lie. Many do line their pockets with wealth of little people, hmmm who took office in 1600 Pennsylvania Ave after having lived in a mobile home for the Ark. Govorner's mansion, had money trouble forever and lied to the American people to their faces? Now it seems that same couple are considered to be very wealthy. Was it your money they stole?
We are told to forgive and love our enemies. I suggest you try on the cloak of forgiveness, lest the anger with which you rage continues to harm only you.

What if the bogus report is from this elite secret group - "Able Danger" - a group so secret it could not report even to Congress it's findings over a period of two years, but "Mr SuperHero I wanna be Senator/Governor/POTUS Curt Weldon", he magically finds the mojo to uncover the truth.
It's hilarious.
It's a bunch of self serving BS.
Does no one remember Iran-Contra?

good article, tho i blame bush a hell
of a lot more than clinton.
people with an interest in what
really happened nineleven must read
david ray griffin the new pearl harbor
or 911 c'omission report.
bush and swine not only knew it
was coming, they played war games
that day (search vigilant warrior)
and set the whole thing up.
don't believe me? it's starting
to ooze thru the cracks.
also think they are behind the
taliban, al qaeda and the so called
insurgents. think about it.
denial is a happy place but it's
time for us to move into rage.

Janet reno was never "FBI chief" under Clinton or anybody else. She are the US
Attorney General under Clinton. As such
the Director of the FBI reported to
her.
This wasn't that long ago and Ms Reno got
plenty of publicity as USAG so there is little excuse for that mistatement.

A good portion of the controversy here is that they tried to report to Congress and the 9/11 commission didn't want to hear what they had to say.

I find plenty to flog on both sides, and it sounds to me from what I'm hearing on the latest stuff coming out of this Able-Danger thing that all concerned have been busy trying to lie, cover their butts, & ignore whatever was inconvenient for them to know.
Question: what took these AD people so damned long to come out of the woodwork & expose the 9/11 commissioners? The report was issued quite some time ago. I get very suspicious of people who take a couple of years after the fact to suddenly pop up and say, "oh, I know something about this."
45 - sinead
You mean ya'll just argue back and forth about which administration was at fault? Don't you get it? Dems and Reps are two sides of the same very bad coin. They put on a great political show, but when the curtain drops, they do a lot to cover for each other. It's all about power and those in power wanting to keep it. No one administration is to blame. (How'd you like the nice mixed metaphors there?)

Hmmm, we have the dead GI's mom, the Supreme Court Nominee being accused of being a racist,President Bush's vacation time & the Iraqi constitution- all top news stories on "the press". All are excessively covered by "the press" but I have yet to hear anything about able-dange on the National news. "The Press" does not want this story out. Which means it is probably the entire truth.
Sadly, this means our Nation is already lost. We die and the press plays politics, we die and politicians talk of other banal topics; the key is we die and no one cares.
