I have doubleheader podcast now online: first up is an interview with James Maguire, the author of Impresario: The Life And Times Of Ed Sullivan. It's followed by an interview with James Gavin, the author of Intimate Nights: The Golden Age Of New York Cabaret, whose cover features the great Bobby Short in his heyday.

The theme that ties both interviews together is New York's heyday in the 1950s through the 1960s, when Manhattan dominated show business and pop culture. Its a fun look at a period, which for better or worse, no longer exists, discussed by two authors who thoroughly know their subjects.
