The Playstation 2 continues an amazing run with several titles this holiday season.

October boasts several long-standing platform series. Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night and customizable story making Tony Hawk's Proving Ground both release on October 9.
The Sims 2: Castaway (Oct. 22) puts players on an uncharted island for some more fantasy lifestyle simulation.
Newer series also continue with Mercenaries 2: World in Flames (Nov. 6), set in volatile Venezuela, and Spider-Man: Friend or Foe (Oct. 2) features a two player co-op mode using themes and villains from the entire film series.
Sports action also continues with the worldwide hit FIFA Soccer 08 (Oct. 9) while NBA Live 08 (Oct. 2) now includes international teams.
Racing titles include Need for Speed ProStreet (Oct. 30) and (deep breath) Aqua Teen Hunger Force Zombie Ninja Pro-Am (Nov. 5).
Nicktoons: Attack of the Toybots and Power Rangers: Super Legends come out on October 23 while Barbie Island Princess and Disney Princess: Enchanted Journey release on October 30.
Many musical game titles have also kept the Playstation 2 going strong including Guitar Hero 3 (Oct. 27 – bundle featuring new wireless guitar controllers also available).
November offers more melodic titles including High School Musical: Sing It! (Nov. 6), Dancing With The Stars (Nov. 13) and Dance Dance Revolution: Disney Channel (Nov. 6).
Simpsons mania continues as the television series’ creators/writers contribute to the storyline of The Simpsons Game (October 30), which expands into a multiple video game theme.
The under sea adventures SpongeBob's Atlantis SquarePantis and Sea Monsters release on November 5.
Fire Pro Wrestling Returns on November 27 with a great price ($14.99) and customizable options where players can create their own wrestling event.
What would the holidays be with movie adaptations like Bee Movie (Oct. 30), Golden Compass (Dec. 4) and Alvin and the Chipmunks (Dec. 14).
Even Disney’s Cars gets another installment with Cars Mater-National (Oct. 23).
