Remember what we said about first round leaders not usually staying in front? Well, Tiger Woods appears to be saying "nuts" to that.

Woods had a two-under round of 70 to extend his overall score to seven-under-par, which is four better than anybody else currently in Minnesota. Padraig Harrington, who was hot on Woods' billion-dollar trail, bogeyed three straight holes on the back nine to finish at one-over-par for the day. He remains tied for second with a multinational quintet of Vijay Singh, Brendan Jones, Lucas Glover, and Ross Fisher.

When Tiger Woods is in the lead, four strokes may as well be 40, even though Singh, Glover, and Harrington won a combined seven majors in their careers.

Club professional Grant Sturgeon is tied for 13rd at even par. He may not keep up the pace, since club professionals haven't finished in the top 20 since 1990, but he's another guy to eyeball this weekend.

And those kinds of stories might be all you have, other than once again adjusting to a world in which Tiger Woods is your benevolent master.
