Paris Hilton Will Serve Jail Time, But It’s Apparently Still Not Her Fault

Paris Hilton has been sentenced to 45 days in jail for her October arrest for driving without a license. The brilliant heiress claims that she did not understand that her license had been suspended following a DUI arrest one month earlier. Now her newly fired publicist is showing his allegiance to the all-powerful Hilton family by taking the bullet and claiming responsibility for the misunderstanding.

Despite being fired, publicist Elliot Mintz is corroborating Paris’ claim that he told her it was okay to drive for work-related reasons. As we all know, Paris is quite the workaholic. No, wait — she’s the other kind of “holic.”

Paris really played up the dumb and spoiled angle in her hearing and told the judge (who asked if she had read the paperwork about the suspended license) that, “I have people who do that for me. I just sign what people tell me to sign.” The judge simply wasn’t having any of this and ordered Hilton to turn herself in by June 5th. Maybe that wasn’t the best time for Paris to whip out the “I’m better than you and can’t be bothered to read my own mail” card.

Paris Hilton is walking proof that evolution has stopped. In the good ol’ days, Hilton would have been a saber-toothed tiger appetizer the second she wandered from the herd to try to touch the big, burning circle in the sky. Mr. Darwin, on behalf of all semi-intelligent bipeds, we apologize.

She has enough money to hire a driver, she simply chose not to because she believes she is above the law.

Paris has broken the law not once, not twice but three times.

If Paris spends even 24 hours inside of a cell I will stuff my underwear into my mouth. Underwear that has been in the laundry basket for a week!!!

Justice isn’t blind, just colour blind, and it sees only green.

Ignorance is not an adequate excuse. People always claim that they “didn’t know .” Celebrities are no better than the average person, and should, therefore, be treated that way.

Jessica and Chloe, I really want to believe that you’re kidding. Please tell me you’re kidding. Or ten. If you’re older than ten and serious, my faith in humanity’s future has taken yet another beating.

Ignorance of the law does not preclude one from it’s consequences. Surely Paris Hilton knew driving drunk was wrong, and surely she knew having her license suspended was a serious matter. It is true you can drive under some circumstances with a suspended license, but it requires signatures from an employer, and you must only be in route to your employer or returning directly home. I know this because my license was once suspended. However I abided by the law and chose not to drive at all. I also throughly read all documents pertaining to the matter which enabled me to decide not to drive. So ignoring a legal document is no excuse and driving to pick up her poodle is not exempt. Time to do the time.

Paris Hilton was caught DUI. Could you imagine her behavior if she wasn’t caught after several warnings but continued to cause death by anotehr DUI? She is lucky that it wasn’t more serious a DMV violation. Jail time will make her popular though and it is a sad statement on consequences. Paris is going the way of Anna Nicole Smith .. escalating reckless and impulsive and gravely poor judgment with careless disregard for impact on self and others.

If I was the judge I would have stipulated that as part of the sentence Paris would have to be driven to jail by Ted Kennedy and I would have made him take the long route over the bridge.

Now that’s cruel isn’t Paris you ignorant little twit.

I’m not sure that Paris should go to jail, since she represents the dark side of the American Dream, namely that some people yearn to be rich enough, powerful enough and famous enough that we can be above the law. And even though there are some people who dismiss her as a brainless skank, do you notice how many clubs are willing to pay her just to show up? They know that people are attracted by celebrity and will line up for hours to just to be in proximity to a wine glass that Paris touched hours before.

Some guys, many of whom couldn’t get a girlfriend if they paid for it, talk about how they wouldn’t be interested in her skinny butt. But be honest, anyone who saw her sex tape has to acknowledge that she gave a pretty good blow job.

Paris has no talent and is famous just for being famous, but this is an hallowed American tradition. Zsa Zsa Gabor, now almost totally forgotten and a third rate starlet, was once famous for partying and for marrying princes. And Washington just finished slobbering over the Royal Family. Queen Elizabeth is a nice enough woman, but exactly what purpose does she serve, and why in the world would supposedly monarchy free Americans give a rat’s ass about her? Craig Ferguson, a Scot, mercilessly mocked the Queen and the Royal Family on his recent TV shows (in part fueled by enduring bitterness over Scotland’s absorption into the UK) and was a useful antidote to the insane fawning over an irrelevant and foreign institution.

RE: Paris Hilton is walking proof that evolution has stopped. In the good ol’ days, Hilton would have been a saber-toothed tiger appetizer the second she wandered from the herd to try to touch the big, burning circle in the sky.

Actually, Paris would have lured some sucker into jumping in front of the tiger and would have then sauntered away without a second thought about it.

honestly i hope some of these comments are joking, “you believe her” who cares if she didnt know or not she a spoilt little brat who “just signs what she’s told to sign” thats ridiculous, thats not an excuse. Its time she took responsibility for herself and for once daddy wont be there to bail her out.

Jessica and chole i beg you to find a role model who realises drinking and driving is wrong and no amount of “oooo i didnt know i was supposed to drive” changes that. Shes a total idiot who just gets by on her money and mediocre looks. She deserves to go to jail as would any one of us if we were caught once, twice on no wait three times driving banned!

Everyone should remember that she’s not use to taking orders from any one because she leads a sheltered life. The parent’s pick up the pieces every time she screws up. It is time for the parents to let her pay the consequence which lead to her demise.
They say that money talks many languages but when it comes to the Justice System they have to be fair and draw the line. Not everyone can afford to hire greedy lawyers that can find loopholes to get out of any situation.

I volunteered to do the body cavity search on Paris for free but was turned down. Even said I would do it at my trailer. Maybe next time.
