Outside Lands Festival 2013: Enjoy the Music Outside of San Francisco This Weekend

Outside Lands Festival 2013 Logo

Friday marks the start of the sixth annual Outside Lands Festival in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park. For those of you who are able to make it the park this weekend, the festival is sure to be a blast. However, for those of you who are unable to make it, festival organizers have made it tremendously easier to enjoy the music from anywhere in the world.

The official Outside Lands Festival application was recently updated just in time, but it’s only available for the Android and iPhone (no luck for Blackberry and Windows phones). The app includes an interactive map of the park, the ability to make your schedule according to artist lineup or stage/tent, and lists the numerous drink, food, and shop vendors that will be serving the tens of thousands of guests.

The newest feature, which is also the coolest, allows users to listen to live acts or even watch live video streams of the festival. With its ongoing partnership with TuneIn Radio, users can listen to Outside Lands Radio via the aforementioned official festival app, native TuneIn Radio app (see here for list of compatible devices), or via your home web browser.

For those wanting video content of the festival, Outside Lands has partnered with Ustream to deliver two channels of live webcasts also via festival app, native Ustream app for Android or iPhone users, or browser.

Not sure what to expect? Then navigate to Outside Lands Festival’s official webpage on YouTube, which contains many performances and interviews from past artists such as Ellie Goulding and Phoenix.
