Power Chips/High Roller
MacPlay/Mumbo Jumbo

The hybrid (Mac/PC) CD sports two highly addictive puzzles games. One is a take on Tetris, while the other is a take-off of on Taipei. Both are done with Las Vegas theme, have low requirements (98/ME/2000/XP/OSX) and are highly addictive.

Power Chips sucks you in and can be a source of great time wasting. With its gradual increase in difficulty, wide range of power-ups and surprises, it keeps your interest. Controls are simple, with only the mouse used to click combinations of more than three of the same type. They fall with increasing speed, until you lose when one column has reached the top. Your point tally is figured in dollars. Great fun, not a lot of mental effort and some quality time wasted. What more could you want? An excellent Jazz soundtrack adds to the pleasure of this game.

High Rollers on the other hand is less intuitive and takes some time to get used to.. Again you need three in a row, either horizontally or vertically. You get bonus points for speed and again there are special power-ups for good play. Not as much fun as Power Chips, but a decent game just the same.

This combo-pack retails for just over $19. Its rated E for everyone. A couple of games for when your favourite twitch-fest is just a bit too much.
