Obama Doesn’t Follow his Own Law

Did you know that in section 1513 of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA, or what is better known as the stimulus), there is a clause that requires the executive branch, of which “Dear Leader” Barack Hussein Obama is head, to submit a new report describing how the stimulus is doing every three months until September 30, 2013. The law states:

In consultation with the Director of the Office of Management and Budget and the Secretary of the Treasury, the Chairperson of the Council of Economic Advisers [CEA] shall submit quarterly reports to the Committees on Appropriations of the Senate and House of Representatives that detail the impact of programs funded through covered funds on employment, estimated economic growth, and other key economic indicators.”

Guess when the most recent quarterly report was issued? June 2011. I don’t think that’s even close to being current. What happened to the four 2012 reports that CEA was supposed to issue? Could these facts, and the effect they could have had on the 2012 election, have had anything to do with the reports not being released?

  • Fewer than fifty nine percent (58.6%) of Americans are currently employed; down 2.4 percent from the time of Obama’s first inauguration. By the way, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) chart illustrates just how effective the “stimulus” was in terms of increasing employment. Sure, the chart shows job losses before Obama was inaugurated. But he and the CEA said that the jobs situation would rebound if only the “stimulus” was passed. As Henry Morganthau, Treasury Secretary under Franklin Delano Roosevelt (FDR), said, “We have tried spending money. We are spending more than we have ever spent before and it does not work… I say after eight years of this Administration we have just as much unemployment as when we started… And an enormous debt to boot!” Morganthau said that in May 1939, but it is quite appropriate for Obama’s administration.
  • Obama’s own CEA said for every $317,000 in “stimulus” spending, only one job had been created or saved.
  • Christina Romer, the first CEA head, said the “stimulus” legislation was needed to keep unemployment below 8 percent, and that, by 2012, the stimulus would have caused unemployment to fall below 6 percent. But, the unemployment rate surpassed 10 percent after the “stimulus” was passed. The unemployment rate stayed above 8 percent for more than three years. The BLS managed to get it under 8 percent just before the 2012 election, and the MSM ate it up.
  • The most recent CEA report was the fifth consecutive “stimulus” report that showed this number getting progressively worse.

Could releasing the required reports have given the “low information” voters the information they needed in order to make an informed vote?

But, to quote another Democrat/liberal/progressive (DLP) icon, Hillary Clinton: “What difference does it make?” By the way, Clinton made that remark when testifying about why the American people were purposefully misled about the Benghazi terrorist attacks. Some believe that the Benghazi cover up was orchestrated solely to protect Obama during his re-election. I include Clinton’s remark here because it fits so well with the current situation.

What message is Obama sending? Well, if he can’t be bothered with a law that he signed, why should he be bothered with a minor complication such as the law of the land, the US Constitution? He has shown his contempt for the Constitution with his “We Can’t Wait” program. Obama, on October 24, 2011, said, “… we can’t wait for an increasingly dysfunctional Congress to do its job. Where they won’t act, I will.” Note that Obama offered no definition of what an “increasingly dysfunctional Congress” is. So I guess we are left with his definition of an increasingly dysfunctional Congress, one that won’t give him everything he wants. Has Obama ever heard of the concept of “separation of powers” enumerated in the US Constitution? By saying, “I will,” he trashed that concept. But, then, I guess Obama was too busy teaching constitutional law to bother reading the US Constitution.

What’s next? Is Obama going to appoint himself king?

But that’s just my opinion

Alas, that was the last report we’ve seen. Never mind that Section 1513 of the “stimulus” legislation, which Obama spearheaded and signed into law, requires the executive branch to submit a new report every three months. It reads:

“In consultation with the Director of the Office of Management and Budget and the Secretary of the Treasury, the Chairperson of the Council of Economic Advisers shall submit quarterly reports to the Committees on Appropriations of the Senate and House of Representatives that detail the impact of programs funded through covered funds on employment, estimated economic growth, and other key economic indicators.”

Some people believe the difference lies in whether or not the Benghazi cover up was arranged in order to protect President Obama during his re-election.

I am still waiting for Dear Leader to authorize post-womb abortions on these monkey-men, but I suppose ensuring they don’t breed is a start.

Re: comments # 1-4, Jet, Did you go to the James Carville school of commenting? You cannot attack the message, so attack the messanger.

  • Glenn Contrarian

    Um, Warren –

If I’m doing something that makes me look bad – like if I’ve got something draining out of my nose, or if I’ve got toilet paper stuck on my shoe, I really appreciate it when someone kindly points it out.

That’s what Jet did for you, and he insulted you not at all. Whatever you think of him or he may personally think of you, you owe him your thanks, because he was doing you a real favor.

How was he trying to help you? Let me give you a hint or two:

Did you know that among writers, it is considered bad form to copy what someone else writes and put their words in your article without crediting them for their effort? This is called ‘plagiarism’. If you were making money off your article, it would also be strictly illegal and would open you up to a rock-solid lawsuit.

And changing one or two words doesn’t excuse you from being found guilty of plagiarism, either. Unless what you write are truly your original thoughts, what you must do at a minimum is to credit those whose words or research you are using. This is considered good form.

Also, when writing a serious article, it is also considered bad form to reference sites that are far from the mainstream, which is what Jet was pointing out in comment #4.

Jet really did do you a favor by pointing out the literary toilet paper stuck to your shoe, and he did so without insulting you at all. You owe him a sincere thanks.

Glenn and Jet, I know I’ll never convince y’all, but other readers will see comments y’all offered, so: I did NOT consult, or look at, other web sites when composing this article.

  • http://jetsgayheadlinenews-jet.blogspot.com/ Jet Gardner

Warren the message and the messenger speak for themselves. You’ve repeatedly proven conclusivley that attacking either is a waste of time because you don’t listen to anyone who doesn’t agree with you and your right-wing and/or racist sources.

The “dear Leader” and monkey remark and your attitude make me suspect that you made that comment yourself under another name-either that or he’s one of your heroes.

  • http://jetsgayheadlinenews-jet.blogspot.com/ Jet Gardner

I’ve proven without doubt that #7 is an out-and-out lie.

Warren I’ve given you all the attention you deserve…

BTW, Jet, you forgot to mention this source and this source. Does your non-exhaustive source list mean that ANY source I read is poison as far as you (and Glenn) are concerned?

  • http://cinemasentries El Bicho

When the messenger is using someone else’s message without credit, they deserve to be attacked. Jet’s comments do make it clear for all readers what’s happened here.

Plus, you give yourself away claiming you “did NOT consult, or look at, other web sites when composing this article” only to then cite a couple of sources a few hours later.

  • Glenn Contrarian

Incredible. Absolutely freaking incredible. Jet shows that Warren’s sentences are taken almost verbatim from those sites, and Warren apparently expects us to believe that it was pure coincidence that the sentences are near-carbon copies of each other!

  • John Lake

Your “facts” were so obviously false, I took a look:

    Recovery-gov TRACK THE MONEY

As to Sect Clintons statement, do you not catch the significance of “four guys walking down the street?” that says it all. In any case, jihadists intentionally fabricate al-Qaeda ties to enhance their status, and the status of al-Qaeda.

  • http://jetsgayheadlinenews-jet.blogspot.com/ Jet Gardner

Warren, when you start out with a really great girl, but then repeatedly fuck over her, eventually all you’re left with is a bitch.

The same holds true for the truth.

  • Costello

Was Warren’s writing style not revealed over six months ago? At this point it’s not Warren who should be chided but the editors.

  • troll

assuming Warren’s honesty for a moment – what would then be remarkable would be the extent to which he has been incorporated into the hive-mind…picking up phrases and such in the wind

  • http://jetsgayheadlinenews-jet.blogspot.com/ Jet Gardner

    A fart-faced Borg Troll?

  • Baronius

Jet’s trying too hard to prove that every word is plagiarized. But read the Weekly Standard article on which this one was based and decide for yourself whether BC is breaking copyright law.

  • http://jetsgayheadlinenews-jet.blogspot.com/ Jet Gardner

Where did I say anything about copyright law?
He “borrowed” and rewrote sentences and phrases out of context -punctuation hyphens and all – from several sources into something he calls original-I sited three but there were more.

Baronius I almost typed that I’m surprised rhat you’re defending something so blatant, but then I’m not, since you agree with him to the point of wearing blinders, and I predict that he will fall all over himself to thank you for your bromantic support…

He absolutely believes he’s “justified” and he doesn’t think he’s done anything wrong-and since you share his hatred of the president, you take his side no matter how radical it is.

He has no conscience-He’s so fixated on “spreading the word” that he has no concern for his sources as long as they agree with him.

Use of “Dear leader”- means he wants everyone to think Obama is a Socialist Hitler Nazi. Something radical right-wingers have been spouting for years.

Use of “Hussein” means that somehow Obama is an illegal African Muslim dictator in disguise out to ruin America’s “christian” values.

Over and over and over-every article is the same.

He doesn’t care what anyone thinks of his racist propaganda (#comment 4)-all he cares about is getting out the word, and bragging to like-minded friends that he got this garbage published in Blogcritics.

  • Clavos

I dislike Obama as much or more than Warren, but I asked management to cancel his writer privileges.

He is no longer a BC writer.

  • Clavos

    Oh, and Jet:

“Dear Leader” is a reference to Kim Jong-il, the deceased father of the current dictator of North Korea, Kim Jong-un, not Hitler or the Nazis.

  • http://jetsgayheadlinenews-jet.blogspot.com/ Jet Gardner

Hitler was also referred to as Dear leader-and referenced to at a lot of rightwing rallys by posters of Obama with a hitler mustache

  • http://jetsgayheadlinenews-jet.blogspot.com/ Jet Gardner

Clavos-the link in comment 4 proves he was refering ro Obama

  • Clavos

Clavos-the link in comment 4 proves he was refering ro Obama

Of course he was; and comparing him to Kim Jong Il…That entire web site’s references are to Commies, not Nazis.

  • http://jetsgayheadlinenews-jet.blogspot.com/ Jet Gardner

Clavos-this different and independant link disagrees with you

  • Clavos

I just Googled “What world figure was referred to as ‘Dear Leader’?”

There were ten hits on the first page; all but one said it referred to Kim Jong Il. The tenth was referring to some borough official in London, who apparently tried to insist on being called that; and even that story referenced London’s distance from North Korea.

  • Clavos

Jet, your “different and independant [sic] link” consists of dozens of pictures comparing Obama to Hitler, but not one makes the “Dear Leader” reference, which was my one and only point: that that particular reference is to Kim, not Hitler.

    Which it is.

  • http://jetsgayheadlinenews-jet.blogspot.com/ Jet Gardner

FOLLOW THE LINK IN #4 WHERE WARREN GOT THE PICTURE HE USED IN THIS ARTICLE- every comment refers to Obama as Dear Leader.

    …Christ!!!

  • Clavos

I already did that, yes it does, Jet, and that’s a comparison to KIM JONG IL — are you not paying attention? On that site you linked to in #4, EVERY reference to foreign ideology is to Communism, not to Nazis.

Which makes sense when you realize that, because of his LEFT-WING tendencies, the right considers Obama to be at least a Socialist, and the extremists swear he’s a Communist.

Pay attention, Jet; it’s not rocket science.

  • http://jetsgayheadlinenews-jet.blogspot.com/ Jet Gardner

When you think in terms of socialists and the American socialist party, whick comes to mind first-Hitler… else why all the posters of Obama with a hitler mustashe instead of a stereotypical oriental???

  • http://www.squidoo.com/lensmasters/IanMayfield Dr Dreadful

Accusing politicians you don’t like of being Hitler is as old as… well, Hitler, so the source material is very rich. I can well imagine Warren being too lazy to Google a picture of Obama as Kim Jong-Il when he can easily get a Hitler one.

Everyone of course remembers the persistent likenings of Dubya to the moustachically-challenged Teuton. And by doing the same sort of quick Google Images search, I also found hitlerized photos of Bush Sr, both Clintons, Mitt Romney, John McCain, Sarah Palin, Ronald Reagan, UK Prime Minister David Cameron, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez and Argentine President Christina Kirchner, among many others. Mudslingers can be spectacularly unimaginative.

  • Clavos

Uh, no, Jet. Socialism is a construct of the left; the National Socialist Party in Germany (aka the Nazis) were an extreme RIGHT wing group, despite their name, which is one reason why they allied themselves with the fascists..

The American Socialist Party (Actually the Socialist Party of America) had Eugene Debs as an early leader and throughout its history (it dissolved in the 1950s) was openly and proudly associated with a number of other left wing groups, including labor unions and ultimately, The CPUSA, but never the Nazis.

  • http://cinemasentries.com/ El Bicho

Jet, give it a rest. Not all disagreements are worth fighting about.

Kudos to Clavos for initiating the purge.

  • Clavos

I can well imagine Warren being too lazy to Google a picture of Obama as Kim Jong-Il when he can easily get a Hitler one. Though your point is cogent, Doc, that wasn’t the point of the dispute. In fact, there are no pictures of anybody in the article. Rather, the discussion centered around this point in comment #19:

Use of “Dear leader”- means he wants everyone to think Obama is a Socialist Hitler Nazi. Something radical right-wingers have been spouting for years

…and the fact that it was Kim Jong Il, not Hitler, who was referred to by his people (under orders from him) as “Dear Leader.”

  • Doug Hunter

That’s the limitations of the left-right description of politics. It’s used, correctly or incorrectly, to describe the level of authoritarianism in modern US poltics. By those standards the Nazis were far more authoritarian than libertarian so people will make the mistake of seeing “leftist” policies. Authoritarianism is not a right left issue and so anyone who seeks to grow government power can be compared to the fuhrer.

  • http://jetsgayheadlinenews-jet.blogspot.com/ Jet Gardner

I apologize Clavos-the dear leader outbursts were heat-of-the-moment.

I was wrong to take it out on you-especially since your actions saved BC from further problems with this radical.

    sincerely
