The Bush Administration’s NSA spying program has come under both political and legal fire. Two court dates have been set in California for a lawsuit that seeks to prove that AT&T illegally cooperated with the NSA on wiretapping, violating federal law. Also, in Washington Arlen Specter, chair of the Senate judiciary committee has said that he is contemplating withholding funds until the program is explained and privacy rights are protected.
Shakira went up with five awards last night at the Billboard Latin Music Awards. Four of the awards were shared with Alejandro Sanz. The event was held at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Fla and aired on Telemundo. Other multiple winners included Daddy Yankee, Aventura, Andy Andy and Juanes.
Madonna is set to release ” I’m Going to Tell You a Secret” documentary on her reinvention tour as a CD/DVD package. The CD will include 14 tracks from the DVD and the tour including a cover of John Lennon’s “Imagine”. The DVD will also include the director’s cut of Madonna’s video for the single “American Life” which caused controversy in 2003.
