Nick Moss & The Flip Tops have announced the next run of tour dates for the Privileged world tour, kicking things off with a pair of shows in Ohio later this week and finishing their run in Florida in November.

This leg of the tour will send the Chicago area-based Flip Tops out west for dates in California, Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona.  They’ll return home for a Chicago show before swinging south for dates in Atlanta, Huntsville, AL, Tennessee, and Florida.

Among the 27 dates is a benefit for “A Soldier’s Wish List” in Elgin, IL on October 2.  The non-profit organization sends care packages to soldiers and service personnel serving overseas.

Privileged is Moss’ eighth album.  Released in March, it has garnered numerous rave reviews and he they’ve toured extensively in support of it having completed a long run of dates through the spring and summer.  In addition to the outstanding reviews, the album had a strong run at blues radio for several weeks after its release.

Vocalist/lead guitarist Moss is joined by Flip Top veterans Willie Oshawny (piano, organ, vocals) and Bob Carter (drums, vocals) as well as newer additions Nik Skilnik (bass) and Travis Reed (organ).  Moss and the band have been nominated for several Blues Music Awards and have won awards from the Blues Blast Music Awards, where they are again nominated this year.
