Award-winner's new CD comes out Nov. 22

Nick Moss Releases “Candy Nation” As Second Single From New CD Here I Am

Nick Moss is streaming a second single, “Candy Nation,” from his upcoming record Here I Am, due in stores Nov. 22.

“Candy Nation” shows off the versatility of this newest lineup of his backing band The Flip Tops, relying on many of the elements that made the first single “It’ll Turn Around” such a hit with blues and roots listeners but coming up with something that sounds very different.

Moss is still singing and playing great firing off a pair of great guitar solos- and again gets a boost from second guitarist/backing vocalist Michael Ledbetter, whose harmonies are as sweet as the confection alluded to in the title. Travis Reed’s organ gives the song funky, rhythm support.

As far as the title goes, this isn’t a song about growing waistlines or having a sweet tooth but instead refers to the silly/serious epidemic of finding an answer to all of life’s problems in the form of a pill and prescription pad.

Both singles offer a glimpse of what’s to come on Here I Am but there are still plenty of surprises in store for listeners on what might be the deepest, most consistent of Moss’ career.

The band has already been touring in support of the new album and if you can get to a show, you can get the album before it hits stores, with November dates in Dallas, Topeka, Rosedale, MD, and Rochester, NY.
