Movielink and CinemaNow to Sell Films the Same Day as They Are Released on DVD

Movielink has signed agreements with six studios and CinemaNow as also signed deals with a number of studios allowing the services to offer customers download to own features in addition to their rental services. Movielink is set to sell “Brokeback Mountain” this week while CinemaNow is set to sell “Saw II”.

Classic Siouxsie and the Banshees to be Re-released

Siouxsie and The Banshees first four albums are set to be remastered and re-released. The Scream, Join Hands, JuJu, and Kaleidoscope will be re-released on May 29th in the UK. Nocturne, a video released in 1983 will also be re-released as a DVD. The albums are set to contain expanded track listings.

Yahoo Prepares for the World Cup

Yahoo has signed an agreement with Everypoint which will allow it to bring Mobile phone users news from this year’s World Cup to be held in Germany. The deal with Everypoint will allow fans access to scores, match information, commentary and schedules. Everypoint, a technology firm will be working to help create Yahoo’s Mobile MatchCast client application. The application will be available to download from the official World Cup website.
