Sade returns with her first album in 10 years...

New Album Releases: Sade, Southside Johnny, Yeasayer, Watson Twins

The headliner for this week's New Album Releases has to be the return of Sade. Fans of the '80s will remember her string of hits that included “Smooth Operator,” “No Ordinary Love,” and “Sweetest Taboo.” “Ordinary Love” probably left the biggest mark for me. There was something haunting about that vocal performance. Anyway, she's been gone for 10 years and she's back with a new album Soldier Of Love. Our resident “interviewer of the stars,” Clayton Perry has a review of the album.

This next one is for our own Mr. Mark Saleski and the rest of the Springsteen fans out there: we have a “new” live album from Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes. I wouldn't be surprised to learn he was present when 1978: Live in Boston was recorded.

Indie kids will want to gather 'round for the sounds of the Watson Twins, the duo that famously backed Rilo Kiley's Jenny Lewis on her first solo album Rabbit Fur Coat and Yeasayer. I got introduced to Rilo Kiley and Jenny Lewis courtesy of Duke and you should all really go revisit his review of that album and buy yourself a couple copies if you don't have it.
