Thing that looks most promising out today is Brats on the Beat: Ramones for Kids. This idea is a natural, as the Ramones largely were kiddie bubblegum music – of a fairly exalted order. I'm rather disappointed to note that no one took up my main #1 all time little boy play theme "Beat on the Brat."

On the other hand, I'd be right interested in hearing Josie Cotton attacking "Sheena Is a Punk Rocker." Thinking back to her outstanding Movie Disaster Music album from earlier this year, and particularly the outstanding precision squawling during her trip down the "Rabbit Hole," I could really see this chick and her sharp band doing interesting things with the Ramones.

Warning to all the niggas and hos out there: Snoop Dogg's back upside your head with a new album Tha Blue Carpet Treatment. It features such likely masterpieces of lyrical art as "Gangbangn 101" and "I Wanna F*** You."

Not exactly new, but there's a Beatles re-mix/mashup album LOVE based on the big Las Vegas Cirque du Soleil show. It's currently the #1 selling CD at Amazon, and is notable as being the first ever officially sanctioned re-mix type album ever for the Beatles. This review from Blogcritic Nik Dirga, however, makes it sound like this was too reverent or conservative in the approach to really make a mark.

American Idol serial #B000IY04RC reporting for duty: Chris Daughtry has an eponymous album out. Perhaps the Satanic wickedness of this corporate music food product is hinted at in the words of this hearty recommendation from the official Amazon editorial review, "Here are a dozen songs that'll flick your rock & roll switch, whether you're a Creed fan, a club kid, or a mambo king."

About Gadfly

  • Kyle

Dude what’s eponyumous? I like Daughtry. His album rocks. Crashed, There and Back and What about Now are rocking. My roomamte likes It’s Not Over. His driving me nuts singing it now that’s also on the television with Prison Break ads.

  • Kyle- Thanks for stopping by. I was just generally being flippant on general principles to anyone associated with American Idol. In fairness to your fanship though, I’ve never actually listened to this specific Idol to be able to fairly judge him.

“Eponymous” just means an album that’s named after the artist. A guy named Daughtry calls his album Daughtry. Nothing wrong with that.

  • Hollywood news says, that Snoop is partnering up with Internet media celebrity, Dr. Chris Mentillo to help the doc with spreading the word of God and Alternative healing methods. Many people now believe that Snoop is a real man of God and has powers to bless the poor with prosperity blessings, bling, bling, bling. And we all know the doc has a lot of bling.

  • Dre

Chris Mentillo, AKA “DOC.” from Got Money Records is considered not only a man of God but a “Record Label Icon.”

We have worked with him in the past. He is a very hot player now in the music (entertainment industry). Watch for him with his new album hit single with NOX and their distributor, BlastZone Entertainment Group by Koch Records – the number one Indie Record Distributor in the world.
