Yahoo calls for Time Capsule submissions
Yahoo has called for submissions to the first electronic time capsule. Submissions will be projected onto the sides of The Pyramid of the Sun, traditionally called “Teotihuacan,” starting on October 25. The time capsule will also be sent into space through a digitized laser beam. Submissions can be made at Yahoo’s Time Capsule website. Yahoo is accepting submissions of video, photographs, sound files, drawings, and text.
Modest Mouse push back release date
Modest Mouse have announced they will be delaying the release of their next album. The album We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank had previously been slated for December 19 and the Christmas shopping rush. No new date has been announced, but it is expected that the album will be released in early 2007.
Keane has announced they will release some “official bootlegs”. Fans will be given the opportunity to buy a recording from each of the concerts on Keane’s upcoming U.K. tour. For each show, only 1,000 of the records will be released. The records can be pre-ordered online or at the show. Keane will be playing in Wolverhampton, Hull, Reading, Manchester, London, Plymouth, and Brighton.
