Microsoft Beta Testing Parental Controls
Microsoft said today that it is planning to introduce Parental Control Settings with the Windows Vista operating system and its Windows Live service. It is currently beta testing the control setting in the US. The settings will allow content filtering on the web, online activity reports and contact list management tools.
Google Seeks to Squash Subpoena
Today Google seeks to defend its motion that would allow it to not hand over search data. The government subpoena requested a random sample of data that included millions of search inquiries. The subpoena is part of an investigation into the threat of online pornography to children.
Fans by Shares of Four Day Hombre’s Record Label
Fans of the British band Four Day Hombre have contributed the cash necessary for the band to start its own record label Alamo Music after deals with other record labels fell through. The band’s debut album Experiments in Living was released on Monday in the UK.
