Wikipedia access in China short-lived
Users have said that the site, that became available unexpectedly, has once again become inaccessible. Wikipedia’s English page became available in China last month, while the Chinese language version became accessible last week. It wasn’t immediately clear if lack of access to the site was due to technical problems, or a block by the government. However, neither version appears to be accessible now in parts of China.
New Fall Out Boy due out next year
Fall Out Boy have announced the release date for their follow up album to 2005's Under the Cork Tree. The new album will be released on February 6th. The band will play the album’s first single, “This Isn’t a Scene, It’s an Arms Race” at the American Music Awards show next week. This will be the band’s fourth album.
Man jailed in “web rage” attack in Britain
Paul Gibbons has been sentenced to two and a half years in jail for assaulting another man after months of exchanging insults on the internet. Gibbons admitted to the attack on the first day of this trial. This has been called The United Kingdom’s first “web rage” attack as it occurred following heated internet and verbal exchanges including the victim claiming that Gibbons had been “interfering with children”.
