Rumor has it that Price refused to take the stage in New Orleans until Ronald McDonald was ejected from the arena. The Purple One suffers from coulrophobia, or a fear of clowns.
According to a source quoted in the Times-Picayune, "He [Prince] indicated that the clown needed to not be in the building. He (Ronald) was escorted to the exit."

Yah, that sounds like a pleasant little kids show--except that the characters all look like brain-sucking hellfiends, the music would give Steven King the chills, and mime is evil.Maybe Prince just hates commercialized, corporate-teat-sucking clowns like Ronald.

While Prince may have legitimate reasons for disliking corporate clowns, I prefer to believe that he's crazy. Isn't it more fun that way.
I do have to agree with you about the Toy Castle, those are some scary ass clowns.

I will tell you all about the clowns in the begining I watched stephan kings It and I did not think it was scary in the begining.But I watched Freddie vs. jason that was even worse than stephan kings It and when freddie got in to jason's head my mom said your right morris he does remine us about pennywise. so when the movie end I thought freddie died because his head came off but the show endded with jason walking out of the lake with freddies head but freddie winked.freddie maybe trickie and his evilness makes him act like a clown.so when I saw Stephan kings It back on at scifi than I remembered how scary pennywise was when he was in the sewer.
